    Seagull at Southampton

At the Solent Sky Museum there is part of the front hull of a Supermarine Seagull, which was used as a garden shed. I think they had a picture of it in place.

I’m relatively new to posting, but thought you might like this one from Legends.

    Jane and BBMF

I don’t think the grass strip is big enough for the Lanc to land, but I’m sure I’ve seen a photo somewhere with the BBMF flying over the top of Jane.

    Crew

Well I’m not a great football fan, so had a go at one of the crew photo’s. I went for the rear view of people to keep it anonymous. My software is a bit limited so don’t look too close, but I was quite pleased with the result.

    Crew Pictures

Thanks for the comments on the pictures. I did wonder about some modification. The aluminium ladder is probably a bit out of place as well, so there seems to be a lot to clear. Maybe when I’ve got a bit more time.

I was there on Friday as well, and found some time to go round the museum, so I’m still working through all the photos.

Although the trainers are a pain for period photographs I thought it was great that people were allowed around the aircraft, and I was moved by the obvious respect that the helpers had for the veterans.

If any of the BBMF or Lincs Lanc Association read this, then thanks for a great couple of days.

    Hi,

I’ve been a member for a while but this is my first attempt to post pictures. I saw the request for some of the “crew”. I took a few while thet were by the rear entry door, hope I manage to attach them.

What a great day. I thought the thumbs up from the hurricane said it all.

    PA474 Airbourne again.

Must have missed it the first time, but heard four Merlins at about 12 o’clock and watched her disappear to the East. Looking out the office window about a mile away so no pictures. Sounded great.
