Production of the MiG-23UB in Irkutsk reached 100 pieces per year. Total released 1008 MiG-23UB

623 MiG-23B/BN

In Moscow in the period 1968 – 1984 4256 pieces were built
MiG-23 and MiG-27 produced more than 6000 pieces

I think that we need to build LMFS short takeoff and vertical landing with an engine “Izd.30”.
And build as many aircraft carriers class “destroyer” (8 – 12 thousand tons of displacement)

Population 293 047 571 people / 144 526 278 people

The territory of Russia is 76.2 % of the USSR, the population is 49.3%.
76.% * 49.3 % = 37.5 % – we get the “potential” of Russia relative to the USSR.

The potential of Russia 37.5% (population + territory), the Soviet Union built seven aircraft carriers:

1143.5 * 55,000
The total displacement of 267560 tons.

Russia can afford: 267560 t * 0.375 = 100335 t. Promising aircraft carrier: two units of 50,000 tons each, or one larger ship.

If I understand the situation correctly, Russia can build up to four aircraft-carrying cruisers with a displacement of 40,000 tons. Each of them will require at least 24 short take-off and vertical landing fighters.
Probably it will be single-engine multi-purpose aircraft. Options two:
– Light Multi-Functional Fighter (LMFS) with one engine “izd 30” 17500 kgf / 11000 kgf
– Medium Multi Functional Fighter (SMFI) with one engine 25000 kgf / 16000 kgf

In addition how many Su-57 (Stealth Fighters) and T-14 Armata (MBT’s) is Russia building? I am sure many of the Members are interested as I? Also, why hasn’t the Russian Navy built a Major Surface Combatant larger than a Frigate since before the collapse of the former Soviet Union???

The Soviet Union built a huge pile of unnecessary “equipment” that never came in handy. After that, the Union ceased to exist. Lesson learned. Russia will not repeat the mistakes of the past

MiG-23M (ed. “23-11M”), produced from 1973 to 1976

I haven’t seen Paralay drawing, but if there isn’t a confirmation from Sukhoi about the bay, i have a hard time believe it can carry R-74, i think the missile won’t fit even without the rail, R-74 is wider than AIM-9M
