9-41 And 9-47 (the Navy of India)
The airplane is designed in two versions: single-seat multipurpose ship fighter МиГ-29К («9-41») and a two-seat multipurpose ship fighter and combat-trainer airplane МиГ-29КУБ («9-47»). Unification of both versions on a design – more than 90 %, and on the equipment and arms – almost 100 %. The main differences single-seat МиГ-29К from two-seat МиГ-29КУБ consist, basically, only in absence of a workplace of the back pilot where the additional fuel tank is established. Thus both of an airplane are equipped with the unified cockpit canopy.
Multipurpose ship fighter МиГ-29К for Naval Forces of India has incorporated all best, that has been fulfilled and mastered on the serial airplanes МиГ-29. On it those specific engineering solutions which are necessary for maintenance of ship operation of fighters and which have already been successfully fulfilled on prototype airplanes МиГ-29К of the sample 1988 have found applicationand all
At the same time, МиГ-29К, developed under the Indian order, represents absolutely new warplane by capabilities that is determined, first of all, application on it of the advanced onboard avionics (БРЭО) and arms.
БРЭО fighter МиГ-29К for Naval Forces of India 1988, is renovated, in comparison with prototype airplane МиГ-29К of the sample not less than on 80 % and is substantially unified with the equipment of the serial fighter МиГ-29СМТ developed for the Air Forces of Russia and delivered with 2004 on export. At will of the customer structure БРЭО of airplane МиГ-29К – international: besides the Russian equipment on an airplane separate systems and devices of the Indian and French manufacture are applied.
Arms of an airplane – the Russian manufacture. According to purpose of an airplane (the main function – defeat of the air purposes and the ships) the main weapon of an airplane are rockets “air-air” of mean range with an active radar head of homing РВВ-АЕ, self-induced rockets of near manoeuvrable fight of type Р-73Э and противокорабельные rockets Х-31А and Х-35Э, and also the high-precision weapon for defeat of the ground and radioradiating purposes (a guided missile and corrected bombs), свободнопадающие the aerial bombs, uncontrollable rockets and the built-in gun of calibre of 30 mm.

РСК “Instant” conducts tests of a fuselage of the deck fighter intended for delivery to India
The operating time received at realization of tests of deck fighter МиГ-29К, will be used at creation of overland versions of this airplane — multipurpose fighters МиГ-29М1/М2.
« Simultaneously with tests of ship-based aeroplane МиГ-29К intended for delivery to India, we conduct tests of fighters МиГ-29М1/М2 », — the general director — the general designer of Russian aircraft manufacturing corporation ” Instant « Valery Torjanin has told.
It has explained, that fighters МиГ-29М1 (single-seat) and МиГ-29М2 (two-seat) are the further development of deck fighter МиГ-29К and multipurpose fighter МиГ-29М. Structurally overland versions of a fighter differ from a ship-based aeroplane that at them not developing wing, usual, instead of strengthened by a landing gear, is absent system of the hook used for зацепки for a cable on landing.
V.Torjanin has noted, that « fighters МиГ-29М1/М2 will be even more advanced on comparison with the ship version of an airplane ».
