French refused to sell the AM-39 Exocet to the Indian Navy who wanted to integrate the latter with either the Super Puma or the Seaking
Harry is it accurate that IAF/IN acquired a small batch of Exocet for testing etc?

Using transport helicopters is more often a necessity given the small budgets most airforces have. Additionally these are also given a armed capability inorder to support SHBO (Special HeliBorne Ops).
Most commonly armament is restricted to MGs and Rockets. Sometimes freefall GPs. With regards to the Mi-17 it is only a recent trend to give it a Hind makeover.

Never knew PAF had Mi-17s, though all belonged to PA. Whats that white ‘thing’ below the left exhaust? and what is the pair of ‘pads’ below the bubble windows? And WTF is that cylindrical sensor mounted near the nose wheel? Note square windows.
Is the one on Scramble outdated then
According to Strategypage Pak got 70 choppers from USA last year. I was wondering where they went….

India tests Popeye?
Does anyone have more info on this? 😮
04-May-2005
Rafael’s medium-range stand- off AGM-142 Raptor Have Nap/Popeye missile, specially configured for the Indian Air Force (IAF), has proved unsuccessful in its second ‘validation’ test, which took place in April in the western Rajasthan desert. Fired from a Mirage 2000H fighter, the missile – codenamed Crystal Maze by the IAF.

Won’t the IN Mig-29Ks get the TopSight helmet?
Yes. I wonder why. What about the new Mirages-H/THs (10 a/c shipment)?
What is the status of PAF machines housed in the boneyard? I remember that at least some of them were picked up by the USN for agressor training

Or you can also try copy-pasting the URL in a new window.
The one on vanilla Su-30 is same as in MiG-29s. (name?)
WUFF! Is this some sort of inverse-cobra? or is the aircraft diving towards the earth?

The position of canards and tail planes indicates that it is a dive
This photo is from Ken’s website.

Caption reads First photograph released of the new, upgraded Su-27UBM. Note the captive seeker-head adapted from a TV-guided missile fitted under the port wing. This permits realistic training using the seeker head without actually carrying the weapon
The only photo I have showing Flanker with rocket pods Su-27SMK;
