Can I ask everyone where is “china lake”, is it some sort of airforce base in america?
If so, I have seen images of the typhoon there, in a desert type background
So is the Typhoon just going to be hosing them off randomly then? 😀
Soz pal, dont understand that comment
Ok here’s my take
1. Rafale
2. Mirage 4000
3. Mirage 2000
4. Mirage F1
5. Mirage III😀
You havent listed the top five fighters today.
You have listed the most beautiful 🙂
And maybe it’s exactly for that reason, that people like Dozer deny such encounters.:diablo:
But I agree we should wait for more information in the future and not speculate to much about this rumors being true at all or not. We’ll certainly see in the future.
I hope so, it will put all this arguing to rest.
Considering the lack of information we have on all planes, and esp. new ones, I can tell without ever beeing proved wrong that the current 5 best airplanes are :
1 – my favorite one
2 – my 2nd favorite one (probably of a country I do like quite a lot)
3 – my 3nd favorite (probably from a country which is a ally to mine but that I don’t like)
4 and 5 : any modern fighters I don’t like but which are commonly put in this kind of ranking (probably from countries I really dislike).:diablo:
lol
I forgot the final sentence : this ranking is my own judgement based on my complete reading of modern fighter forums.
And I forgot as well to add I’ve very well placed people in the loop who confirm this ranking, but out of privacy I can’t disclose theirs names. Be afraid though, these guys really know their stuff and are working on it everyday, having see it all already before ! So you can’t prove me wrong !
😀
lol 😀 right you are!
I’d be interested in seeing that Typhoon out manuever an AIM-9X.
I’d like to see a F-22 outmanuover a Typhoon with HMS and ASRAAM;)
But the missile is the main player in the WVR, far too many variables lol to come to a good conclusion:)
In air to air I sure as hell would only put the F-22 above the eurofighter
In air to air;
1.) F-22
2.) Eurofighter
3.)Rafale/Su-30mki
4.)Gripen
5.) F-15
The F-22 only there caus of its BVR, WVR, I would be in the typhoona any day of the week;)
from what i’ve seen the F-22 is EXTREMELY manouevrable- it does have vectored thust don’tforget!- i can’t see how it can lose against a Typhoon
From what I have witnessed in real life and video clips the Eurofighter is the most agile aircraft out there, the combination of speed of manouvers, outright jaw-dropping accelertation and climb ability and sustained turn rates make it phernominal,
However the F-22 is more manoverable, it can manouver at lower speeds, i.e it can manuover more in the wider flight envelope, that does not mean it will win a WVR engagement.
An A380 can be described as manuorables, as shown by its demos at le Bourget alike, however its agility is questionable:D
Being able to do a backflip does not win a fight.
 What the hell are you posting? It is three times the same picture and I can’t see any missile at all.
Yeah, realised that as soon as I had posted it, but the forum kept logging me out, until now, and therefore couldnt change it.;)
Do any of you guys what missile is on the inner pylon of this su-34?
also
and
Does not mean that it is not theoretically possible though?;)
If it were possible, do you reckon the kh-55 (and variants) would be placed either on just the centreline pylon or the two underneath the engine intakes or all three:confused: hmmm possibilities
No evidence what so ever.
kk 😉 , just heard a few rumours tiss all 🙂
While were on the su-34, does anyone know if it can carry the kh-55 missile or any of its derivatives/similar missiles?;)
Get it goin again, found a cool clip showing the impressive capabilities at Farnborough 1998.
I wouldn’t mind if you took the Kh-55 as a return present.
I would mind suffering the side-effects of that, thank you.
ha. 😀
