It’s almost certainly a fault. This is an L series lens too.
I’ve borrowed this exact lens and found it to be the best I’ve ever used. Almost immediate focus speed, steady as a rock whilst on IS. Sharp as a carpet tack where I needed it. Personally I don’t care about the outer edges as (a) there’s not usually much photo interest out there (b) I crop. However, I didn’t notice too many faults at the outer part of the photo – be it at the 100 or 400 end.
yeah very sad about the demise of barton and woodford shows unfortunately the crowdline issue killed barton as it was pushed so far back after the post ramstien amongst other safety rules it meant there wasn’t enough spectator room to make it viable
shame as it was always a superb show !!
My most favourite Barton day was the “Auster Fly-in”. circa 1974?? Anybody else remember it? I took dozens of photo’s, but Lord knows where they are now.
There was also an Anniversary fly in around the same time, 50th of the Lancashire Aero CLub I seem to recall.
If I want a car programme I go over to Discovery Shed or similar and watch the “Reborn” type programmes.
TG is my kind of entertainment. Fast cars, trains (Sometimes), planes, caravan bashing.
5th G, it doesn’t cut it for me although I watch it if nowt else is on.
As for PC, it is imposed, it started as a joke experiment in US universities. If I want to tell a joke about a black/cripple/limbless/aids/Irish/Arab…whatever then I do. I laugh at the jokes about the honkey white fella or anything else degrading to white christians. These so-called oppressed minorities can equally tell a joke about me or anybody, and amongst themselves they are racist to each other and degrading. Humour is humour, sometimes sick, sometimes outrageous….it’s always been like that. Within 20 mins of a worldly disaster there are text jokes about it.

A bit like Last of the Summer Wine without Compo.
It’s nothing more than a comedy sketch show with three blokes each displaying different levels of ars*ry. And like a comedy sketch show, some sketches are funnier than others. If you like it that’s great. If you don’t like it that’s great too.
But don’t get the idea that it’s anything other than three overgrown schoolboys let loose in an adult toy shop.Regards,

That’s the whole point of it. It is entertainment, not a “Car” show, a blokey show, it gives the joke known as political correctness a kick in the teeth, and that can only be good.
And, a lot of pot calling kettle black on this topic methinks. One could argue that a bunch of aircraft enthusiasts, often hurtling from one end of the nation to the other to cop a rare reggie could be classed in the same league as overgrown schoolboys let loose in a toy shop.
The only difference between men and boys is the cost of the toys. We won’t change!!!!!

Saw it “live” last night. Enjoyable.
Pity they picked Flybe as the logo copy, there are FAR FAR worse budget airlines to rip into. In fact Flybe are perhaps the best of the cheapo’s.

Depends why you watch a film.
Escapism needs no plot. Sometimes we just need to hit ‘Format: Brain’.
To have no plot AND nothing else to look at makes it a bad film.
Sometimes however we need a film to stimulate a thought but Tron/Iron Man/Transformers etc. are great SFX film, great escapism and totty to look at. Probably totty for gals to look at too.

I got bored with the kill everything theme, so on the Eve I watched a ChickFlick called “The rebound”.
A very pleasant watchable film with a totally predictable regurgitated love story plot.
But Cath ZJ is always worth an oggle! What a pretty woman.
Today, telly was very very very much in the background, but the “Gold” ch. was on, Del boy all day. Why they made more after the Watch win I will never ever understand.

Outrageously sharp!
Outrageously sharp!
To kick off:
Taken at St. James Park in London in front of Buckingham Palace, one of my favorite parks.
1.
2.
3. Cute
What great shots, especially as they are at 1600 or 800 ISO. 50D, what a camera!
