Secrecy vs Privacy
Rather than view this as secrecy, why not be a little more pragmatic and accept that it’s just simple privacy. Not all people feel the need to post regular forum updates about what they’re up to, they’re just happy to get on with it without self promotion and mutual back-slapping – not that there’s anything wrong with that if that’s your bag.
A friend of mine had a couple of interesting old aeroplanes registered to him up until a few years ago pending restoration. He de-registered them as he was fed-up with spotters racking up to his home address, the address at which the aircraft were registered, at whatever hour of the day and evening demanding access to look at the projects.
Privacy or secrecy, call it what you will. When it’s someone elses time, effort and money it’s hardly unreasonable to keep yourself to yourself.
