Very smart management, a half hour of your product advertised on BBC2 for nothing— Super.
Great to see Airfix back in business, sales were always high during time of recession and IF we go into one next year it could be good for their business, however I feel that Hornbys have the business head to make it a winner again.

Phil I’m with you on that one! I was at Elvington on Saturday, and to be fair they could do with someone giving them another hanger. So if anyone has a spare hanger they dont want, then get in touch with someone down there.
It was nice being there when the STAFF were moving the airframes around after the BBC had used the hanger to record Question Time, trust me not to have the old camera with me.

Why do we need to compare the 2 programmes? This thread is for the 787, so why keep bring the A380 up, correct the projects are completely different.

The A380 has been kicked around enough over the last 2 years, its Boeing time now so lets play fair and slag them off, fairs, fair after all.:dev2:

P.S. I will not be joining in by the way, there but for the grace of God go all of us.

    Hah!

I have a 26 year old son who does not hide the fact that he will sell anything I own on ebay when I snuff it:p
He thought his boat came in in May when I had my heart attack, now I have just had my triple bypass op, I have threatened to outlive the little sod;) We do get on very well by the way:)

Denis, I’m in a somewhat similar position to you, I also suffered a heart attack back in Febuary and had a stent fitted in August (dam NHS waiting lists), however its been pointed out to me by the whole of my family that my collection will only go to the nearest charity shop should I pop off.
I’ve decided however to bring my house in order as 30 plus years of collecting is making the floors creek, so watch out on E-Bay chaps cos I’m about to sell the suff off myself.
Heart attacks can be a life changing thing, in more ways than one. By the way hope your feeling a lot better after your op.

Thought it would be very simple for the Defence estates to do a search for living relatives and give them a straight offer to regain their famlies lost property?

A380 order most excellent news, but only what i’ve been saying for a long time. But with EIS in the next month can we now see more orders from other airlines?

Looks like the fastener issue is not limited to the 1st airframe only-

Had my 30D for a month or so and very pleased (still getting use to the controls) being an A1 and AE1 owner myself.
Have noted today that the price of the 40D is starting to move down, could be that some dealers have now got them in stock, so this could see the 30D move if any stocks are still available.
anyway while you are deciding have a read of this review.

and good luck in your decision.

    Hope it helps.
My personal thanks and best wishes to the Vulcan team, I was born within earshot of the Woodford circuit and hope one day she may visit her ancestral home.

I agree 100% on 558 returning visit to Woodford, I’d also like to see the visit used to raise money for the North West Area RAFA, who must have seen a drop in their funds with the loss of the WOODFORD AIRSHOW over the years.
