When the Vulcan does return to the sky I hope it does its first flypast over Newark, so the guy who gave a very authorative opinion that it would never fly again (when I last visited there), eats his words.
It was not so much what he said, but more the way he said it to me. I told him that you only need the Design Authority, Someone to do the work, The CAA, the Crew and Loads of Money. I knew at that time that the only thing not in the loop was the money, which has taken a lot longer to get than the other needs.
One thing not to be forgotten here is without David Walton and his family, this airframe could have been rotting in a corner of some disused airfield instead of being worked on in a hanger. Well done to everyone concerned.

Hang on chaps the ‘OLD’ A10 is a rather good platform for what it does, as found out during Gulf War Part 1. This must be fact or they would not have spent the money on it!

    Gents
I have a question on something that continues to puzzle me. During searches on E-Bay I’m amazed that some items which have a higher starting bid will attract a number of bids, a point in question being an A380 Dragon Wings in Airbus Colours going for £21.00 While there is 1 up for £9.99 which has not taken any bids????
    Any answers anyone?

I’ve got a load of models and mags I intend to sell after Christmas, when the nights are still long and wet and best enjoyed in by the central heating.
Hell thats put me in the mood to start and make some myself.

So I take it YOU ARE GOING TO SHUT UP THEN, strike that post off as inadmisssable. Good.

Oh by the way I’ve heard a number of things this morning that Boeing are doing with regard to the Tanker deal, I’ve got to be discreet about this as it could be a load of b*****ks and I dont want to end up in court! Fair enough.
