    Oh by the way I’ve heard a number of things this morning that Boeing are doing with regard to the Tanker deal, I’ve got to be discreet about this as it could be a load of b*****ks and I dont want to end up in court! Fair enough.

    Very hard act to follow. Tornado would seem to be the next aircraft to fill the void the Canberra will one day leave–but will it still be in service then?

    Find it unreal that we annouce to the World where are troops are going and when? Or are the annoucements planned. Anyway suppport the troops now they are there.
    Next time the Goverment want to cut Defence spending its time for a fight then.
    Oh slight change of topic: Chester Town Christmas Lights switch on and arrival of Father Christmas is on—- this coming Thursday–yes the 11th of November, unreal or what!!!!

    Granada News have just had the guy who has bought the Vulacn on a news report handing over the cheque to the previous owner. the new owner intends to put it along side his pub!
    The new owner sounded like he was aware of the task to move it, but did not seem to give an idea of how. Still I wish him well, just hope he can gets the help he needs, there must be a lot of ex-Woodford Aircraft Fitters who could provide the knowledge to make the move happen.
    Anyone out there want to come forward?????

    It was always impossible to watch any programme Fred did and not be fully drawn into it. Thankfully we have records of this work which not only entertain but also educate as well. R.I.P. Fred

    The Spit looks a lot better on this photo than it did in the summer of 1969 when a paid a visit there as an ATC Cadet on summer camp to Germany. Happy Days.
