Paul who/where did you hear BAe were closing Woodford. I think you’re both off track with this, I can’t see there being another Airshow as much as I would like this to happen and don’t see Woodford site closing unless the last peice of info to come out of the site which gave a catagorical denial by the site boss that the site was closing has changed in less than 2 months.

1st photo, the MyTravel DC 10s in the back ground, are they the airframes that were being stored at Kemble or just another 3 aircraft?

It does not matter to me how she looks, she’s pretty dam good either way.
Dont get hung up with the size thing, if you had someone in your family who had suffered from a eating problem brought on by someone remarking they should be on a diet, then you’d understand why size at the end of the day counts for nothing.

So there we have it, I believe that one of the reasons put forward for AIRBUS not supplying the USAF with tankers was that they had not built a tanker.
    Time to review contracts maybe????

Come on chaps, how many times is this going to happen before you wise up. Greed is good this is 2004.
They dont give a flying fart any more, they are lucky no one has signed up all the old airfields to English Heratage then they would not be able to make a big wedge.
RAF Sealand will be one of the next to get turned into a developement in line with just what the local community need (not) more housing, and yet more half empty factory units.
Why sell off the family jewels, the airfields are worth a packet compared to what was paid for them when they were compulsary purchased back in the 30-40s
If they were all kept in a manner similar to Kemble or Brunty then I’d say top development. But there again no one would get a fat profit!!!!

By that do you mean a new wing? Fuse is pretty standard across the wide body family.

Ha chaps I’ve just realized were i’m going wrong, this coming weekend i’m off to Nottingham for a concert, weekend after Oxford for another. Weekend after that Birmingham (Saturday), Manchester (Sunday) and all from here in sunny North Wales.

Now-if I learnt to fly and bought an aircraft life would be so much enjoyable as I hate driving.
just need to work out how I run this one past Mrs Pierrepjc!!!!

Son of Pierre has now got “House Colour” Dragon Wings Airbus up on E-bay. this is posted to provide all fellow forum members with the information on where to get hold of these superb models. I’ll post a link if required (his location is Aberystwyth).

    Paul

P.S. 10 different House Colour models available ( 11 if you include different tail markings on the A340-600).
