Go to all your local PHOTO DEALERS. Ask them to show you and explain what they have got. Get as much info as you can, work out which camera fits your needs best.
Go on the net find the cheapest deal for your chosen camera print out a copy of the deal. Phone round the dealers (it saves time) ask them can they better or match any deal. Any that are prepared to do a deal will ask for conformation, give them the print out.
I have recently bought a digi camera, I used a similar route however I’d already decided who I was going to buy from if I could get the best price, my local Jessops has had one chap working for them for many years who in the past has given me good service and also once helped sort out a problem that a more senior person in the company screwed up.

903, getting back to Woodfords Vulcan, what do you feel would/could be the best way to use the aircraft and spares that the OLD BOYS have gained. Lets face it the company/place is not what it use to be. Dont blame anyone things/times have changed.
Move it to Manchester Airport? Move the parts to where?
Paul
Hey, thats a good idea. If you can’t beat them– Copy them.
Airbus have 5 Belgua’s by the way for transport of Airbus components between the member company’s.
Oh also I see reports in the weeekend press claim that the tanker deal (RAF) looks to be moving well towards AIRBUS.
Paul
I’ll have to think about that one…………………

Understand the airfield falls on the Gloucester Wiltshire border, one side in each county.

I was at Kemble yesterday, looks like the Indian A300 and one of the Canadain A310s is in the process of being broken up for spares?
The all white A310 ‘appears’ to be untouched only missing the port engine.
David
Thanks for that. Didn’t have time go round the back on my last visit, nice to see the wings folded again.
I was at the college the first time they were un-folded after the road journey from Hawarden, they were cranked down by hand the ‘operator’ not hearing the instruction to stop as a wing tip made contact with a nearby lamp post.
Lite weight lamp posts do bend well when in contact with Gannet wing.
Paul
Well it looks like it’s gone. Or at least its not in front of the college any more.
I went up there after work tonight hoping that there might be a chance of catching it (again on film in a different position) before the big move and there was this big empty space.
Photos to follow when I finally get them back from Fuji. I know I have also got some taken over the years it has been at the Deeside College because every so often a rumor would go round that it was either moving or being scrapped.

BA staff are being asked to clock on…………………… some thing standard within british industry. If the management are now asking them to change practises then I’d say they must have problems to request the changes
There is a lot of people currently stuck unable to get on BA flights who may well clock on every working day of their working lives. I don’t think I’d be well impressed if I were one of them. Actions like this are a bit self destructive.
Lets all play at French ATC.

By the way, Robot wars is being recorded at RAF Newton between the 26 and the 31 Aug for anyone interested. Tickets available through http://WWW.WAYAHEAD.COM.

Excellent Snapper, thanks very much for sharing this with us all.

BAE Sytems own the site. They also provided a great big back up to the event. Enough said.
