Dont even go there, I’m sorry mate but you don’t know what you are talking about.OK so you attended possible not the best airshow at WOODFORD, however to say that their organization was bad would be an injustise. I attended most of the Airshows there and got to know some of the people in the background who worked dam hard to give ‘US’ a good day out whilst also raising money for the RAFBF. Which I must point out is the exercise of the event.
I’ve been there on many a show and got wet through but had a dam good day, the weather and availability of A/C is in the lap of the Gods.
Just make the most of what airshows you can get to from now on because I dont know how many will be on the calender in ten years time.

By the way if i come across my old logs from the early shows I’ll e-mail them to you, but dont hold your breath as my filing system at the moment is a bit screwed.

I agree totally with David, how Sky handled what you had recorded was wrong, not what you recorded. The recording could go a very long way to helping find the cause of the crash. It could and should have been edited not to have shown what it did. I dont feel you should reduce/stop your filming either I did and have since regreted it.

I use to have a respect for Sky’s reporting but not after tonight. How they always find an expert eye witness that knows jack sh*t and usually admitts that, is beyond me. It must take a special kind of person to stand and talk with such carm I know I could not, there again they would not hear what they were expecting.
I have only been unfortuate enough to witness one airshow crash, I was nearer than i should have been and it did effect my approach to a lot of things for a long time after.
My condolences to the family and friends affected by this accident.

To all going tomorrow and anyone thinking of now not going– Go, and be apart of it.
And if you meet up with the SKY or BBC reporters tell them why your there.

Yes very interesting, — take a look at The Seattle Times website, story in question is in regard to the shares Boeing have taken opitions on. Very good bit of dealing and so well timed

You,ve got to hand to any airline that gets themselves on the box for a 1/2 hour every week, I mean what would that cost in advertizing??:p

Consider also that Airbus are able to provide any mix across the Single Aisle Family (A318,19,20&21) during a buyers order, and with the Easy Jet order now in place the future second hand values are more assured. ie more A319 on the second hand market.
    Always worth a read

Yea would be a sure bet that Airbus would take the orders,—-but can’t see Boeing or their back-up boys letting go that easy.
As i write these words an Easy Jet 737 flys over my house soon to be replaced by a A320—– YES!!!!!!

    I feel so better.

I don’t think support for any of the AIRBUS FAMILY is or would be in question.
Concorde is not in the AIRBUS Family.
Why support something that is 30 year old technology, is limited numbers, costs an arm and a leg to support and can not bring in the required revenue.
AIRBUS does not have a unlimited resource to throw at anything just because its a nice to have.
BOEING had that attiude and they have loss a lot of people over the last 12 months, just read the Seattle Times if you would like conformation on this.

Very good bit of business in it?
RAF buy Airbus- Airbus UK (BAE Systems) supply wings.
RAF buy B767 (Ex BA) BAE Systems work with Boeing to convert to Tankers.
Sort of heads I win, tails you lose. 🙂
