Don’t want to see anyone pass at the young age of 50, no matter who they are. Going at 90ish after a good healthy life no problem.
The man gave a lot of people a lot of joy, in a world that did not give him a normal life.
Really glad I live a boring straightforward life and that my medical conditions are known to me and my family, plenty of people are walking round with heart conditions that will see them off,—- I’m not saying this to scare but rather make aware.
What ever Jacko died from could be a message for a lot of people………

Mosquito RR299 was based at Hawarden, or Broughton but not Chester, which is in England.

Canceling the A380 would help EADS bottom line. If it is costing more to build an A380 than you can sell it for, they can’t make it up in it volume.
Aircraft are not like cars, you can’t stop building just cos you’ve there is a blip in the market. The lead times from raw material to finished product can be quiet long therefore I’d don’t see how cancelling any order can be good for any manufacturer unless you’re at the end of the types production life (which the A380 is not). So explain how this would be of benefit to EADS.

Having been very close to a few news worthy items and read the subsequent press reports I now take most press reports very lightly.

Thanks Gents for your posts, an amazing looking aircraft, such a great shame that its life was so short and the loss was so great.
I remember having a tour of the Broughton factory about 1959ish (very young) there was a BOAC Comet at the end of the line same space that now occupies the Single Aisle flow line, also a Beverley further down the shop floor. Somethings stick in the mind. funny i remember what happen 50 years ago but cant remeber what I did last week ( understandable, last week was boring).

Commonality only if you offer the customer a standard aircraft/airframe, should they be happy or require a standard aircraft.
What is currently happening in the aircraft market is nothing new, Airbus is however well placed to deal with it, as are Boeing.

I feel that we need to remember this more than ever after the events of last Thursday.
