Well Lincoln……its a subject which you know far more about than I do.
I know we must avoid the US plea bargin system like the plague which I think is unsafe and unjust.
The trouible for me is that legal costs are so high it becomes virtually impossible for “the man on the Clapham omnibus” to bring a civil case due to expense.
If that situation could be resolved I things may improve. But, lets face it, thats never going to happen. Hence the man in the street has little or no access to the legal system.
Personally I have little trust in the legal system, the CPS and the Police. I concentrate on trying to avoid any personal participation with any of the above.
I would happy see an all party investigation into “law and enforcement in the country (different I know its different in all four countries)”. Alas I fear the ruling classes are only interested in preserving the status quo of the class system and the ruling elite which exists.
