What an excellent question.
Something I am thinking about at the moment.
I have accumulated lots of things over the yaers and during a recent house move got rid of 30 bin bags full of paper basically from the (old) loft. Consisting in the main of old manuals and course material.
Having now made it past my half century I wonder why I continue to keep certain things. These days I very rearly take photographs of aircraft. I have albums full of the things. Is it time to get rid.
When I fall of pearch doubtless, someone will just put them in a skip anyway.

Dreadful batting by England in the second innings.
Dreadful shot by Strauss.
Peterson misses a straight ball ( i would not miss him if he never played for England again).
Bopara out of his depth (again!).
I thought Strauss’s captaincy was poor.
But, well done South Africa, what a performance. Credit where credit is due I feel.

How sad……….puts your own problems in to context…….
Once had a “top Neddy” as Roger Bacon used to say, who stated at a conference he considered himself to be a :
“helicopter overviewer”

The following quote from today’s Daily Torygraph
“”The IMF said the British economy would come to a virtual standstill with growth of just 0.2pc this year, compared with its April forecast of 0.8pc growth.
It cut its 2013 growth forecast by the same margin to 1.4pc from 2pc.
Britain’s growth downgrade for 2012 was the largest of any country barring India in the IMF’s World Economic Outlook update. Growth will be below average among advanced economies, and behind Germany, France and the US. “
Great job Dave ! The plans working then.

We used to play w@anker word bingo.
We put 25 sayings on to a photocopied “bingo” chart and then crossed them off in meetings as they were mentioned.
Everyone put a pound in, the first to complete a line got the dosh………
Good fun though.

I took the Portsmouth harbour tour just a couple of weeks ago and loved it. Those type 45’s were much bigger in “the flesh” than I imagined. Especially interested to see one bearthed next to Illustrious.
I look forward to see the Ocen photo’s on here !
