I can tell you this, those RR on a 757 definatly have a distinctive sound when they take off. They growl…
Emirates Rules!! Saw their 777 down in SYD last year when I took the tarmac tour.
I like that one.
I too agree!! 😀
Piston Powered aircraft are notorious for having flames coming out of the exhaust.
Yet another example of great logic.
I agree…
I agree with you RIP, if it was kept in better shape I would love to fly on her, I never had a chance to fly in a Tri-Star. If that’s what the outside looks like, I would hate to see the interior…
Let me think here…The Americans had to take the 2 toughest beaches in the invasion, the French just walked right on with minimal opposition, the Brits & the Canuks had it harder than the French, hell the rest of the nations had it harder, we went in to save their arses, therefore shouldn’t they have taked the tougher Beaches? But us Yankees took them to prove a point that we are not weak. The French don’t like us Yankees, but if it wasn’t for the Allies in WWI & WWII the French would be speaking German & eating Bratwurst & Sauerkraut, not escargo or crepes. I’m done with the soap box, time to totally change the subject here. Do you think the movie ‘The Longest Day’ is biased? I don’t. It depicts all sides, from the Germans, to the Maquis, the Americans, Brits, who ever else was involved.
The F-86 & the MiG 15, saw these to Korean Era birds fly a few years ago at an Airshow at March Air Reserve Base in Riverside CA, the USAF Thunderbirds were there as well.
Imperial Hill & the In N’ Out Parking lot at LAX is a great area for spotting. Too bad there isn’t any good spots to view at LGB(Long Beach). You can see the Boeing plant right there on Lakewood Blvd. If you’re lucky, you can see a 717 or 737 being built out there.
But I will agree with you Matthew, shotty maintenance will cause any engine to fail.
Not to start another argument, but AA uses RR in their 777’s, UA has PW, AF has GE, as does BA in their older 777’s.
Very nice photos
I’m sure the same thing happened to that NCA pilot for the engine strike.
Let’s try this again…
Check these out…
