    Wright 1820 engine

    Great engine. However, if it suffered an over-boost, it would fail a few days later. High manifold pressure at low rpm always caused problems. Not unexpected. In five years, the only problem I had (except for an exhaust stack fire) was a jammed and bent valve push rod. One jug was out, the aircraft was vibrating.
