The rotary switch on the right is as stated a bomb sequence selector and the switches on the left are arming switches.

    Alexander,

According to the Pilot’s Notes for the Blenheim IV, the switches in the first pic are the flare and practice bomb selector switches. Unfortunately the cockpit illustration that I have is no better than the one that you have already so I cannot comment on the second one.

    Best wishes

I have following photo of Mk.V pilot cabine starboard. Is Mk.IV different? Can You put here viev of port and starboard of Mk.IV from pilot’s notes which You have? I’m especially interested in any communications: cables, pipes etc.

    With best regards,
    Alexander.

The bombs are released in a sequence dependent upon the rapidity of movement of the (hand operated) lever across an arc of contacts connected to the release slips in the bomb bay.

Please, tell me how sequence of releasing depend upon the rapidity of movement? Arc on the face panel have approximatelly 20 point. After turn lever to the first (fifth, eleventh etc) point, secuence what? What parameter regulated by lever: quantity of bomb releasing or drop order? Blenheim had four point in the bomb bay – why bomb distributor had 20 point?

    With best regards,
    Alexander.
