Highest offer of $65,000 was declined!:(
Tommy has been quiet, does he know the answer or not?:D
As RenFrew suggested, aircraft availability is probably the problem. They were using Turkish registered aircraft and under Pakistan rules, these had to be transferred to the Pakistan register within 90 days of start of operation. They haven’t, so the service stops and presumably they have not been able to obtain other aircraft with the summer season looming.
Understand that this is a leased aircraft not sure where from at the moment.
You must have spent twice as long on the photo search as I did and I think you have a possible career as a fiction writer, maybe!!:D
Hope the truth will out.:)
One of the passengers had connections in Hucknall. Only small parts of the plane have been found. The area in Brazil is where DAvid Beckham wishes to start a football academy.

Steve Rowell will love this one!
Someone is telling porkies if the hijacker (reformed?) says he works at the ‘airport’ and BA say he doesn’t. If he works off the airport, he shouldn’t need a security pass to be on the airport and WHY was he on the airport anyway, too many unanswered questions here.
I have photos taken in the 50s and a shot of G-ABTC being loaded into a Dakota in the war,a rather battered snap I am afraid, but I would like to know what happened to it,burnt maybe?
Welcome to the Forum Bryan and as you can see, ‘BTC will be reborn, this century.
Your next post could contain that photograph couldn’t it?:)
Was it three or four Comper Swifts lined up at an air display or PFA Rally about 20 years ago?
Surely a unique post-war occasion.Roger Smith.
Not so unique, I remember a line up of Swifts at Blackbushe for an air display probably late sixties early seventies.
You seem to have a thing about Mesa WD! Reading between the lines, it looks as though Mesa have been rather clever in dumping AM before they became a real liability and cost them a lot of money.
The seller would usually have to add a sweetner to the deal!:D

Sorry, only the T-shirt is available now!

Only four year to wait? This thread will run and run, best wishes!
And don’t forget the Q.6 which is hopefully progressing!
If the plane was coming or going to the factory for repair (Weybridge?), would Felixstowe be the logical port? The colour scheme might suggest an Air Inter plane as I cannot find any German accidents that might correspond.
