It appears that she had numerous colour schemes prior to her last UK appearance, which we think was Cream & dark Red, under that there is what appears to be a ‘metalic’ Blue scheme — does anyone have any pics of her in any of these schemes Please? Dustyone
The A.J.Jackson collection lists one negative, which is probably b/w and may be the one mentioned by Papa Lima.
That is outrageous, but PNG has recently been more active in policing historic aircraft searches and this would seem to be a knee jerk reaction to that policy.
The plane, c/n 44-74494 was based at Shoreham and is now registered as N72T. It was raced by Bill Destefani at Reno. It is now owned by Hugh Bickle and is based at Hollister, California and flies as ‘Iron Ass’.
