I know what you mean, In regards to Ryanair, I think the age of the aircraft always provides a bit of confidence. As we know it is down to the pilots / crew to ensure a safe flight but when flying on something a little newer than the rest it always helps.

Don’t forget that three 738’s have been lost to date!:D

sorry do you mind me asking whats ETOP?

Very clear explanation on Wiki. The increased reliability of aero engines has enabled twin engined planes to extend their distance from alternate airports thereby saving time and fuel and hopefully not compromising safety.

E-Bay works on the principle of trust and accountability as far as it is possible in an electronic environment. Are you going to trust a seller or buyer who doesn’t pay his bill on time, the amount is irrelevant?

    What is this?

    http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0119217/L/

N193AT c/n 193C-1071 was delivered new to Delta. When ATA bought the aircraft, they used it for RTW flights. In 1989, the plane was leased to Aer Lingus and was scrapped at Victorville in 2003.

ATA only have three Tristars 1011-500 with seating capacity of 283 for military charters and they are due to be phased out November 2008.

this is the end of this thread (except the same record in that file contains reference to three Vikings, G-AHPE, G-AIKN and G-AJBX – does anyone have any idea of where I might have seen those?).

Blackbushe? or if they are in bad condition, Southend.
