Were the planes were UPS flights, or sjust ome sort of wet lease to an operator?
If so did they use someone else’s 135 certificate?
(Might be disireable for liability issues).
Read the story, UPS set up their own passenger line for weekend travellers only when they were not operating freight flights.
Does the photo below jog your memory ? Although the location is a barn near Halton, not a Church. Nor did WB556 serve with Liverpool UAS…….
WB556 was sold on E-Bay earlier this month.

The bow is now ready to be towed to a port for scrapping and tenders for the disposal of the stern have been issued.
Last weekend, crews were removing oil from the beaches of Seaton, Branscomb, Charmouth and West Bay.

No, yes. I spent well over an hour looking at European registers without finding it. Of course it would only need one number to be misquoted for it to ‘disappear’ in the paper jungle. The guess of Spain is only because there are an awful lot of Tomahawks in EC.
addt. info.
Realy?
This is the first time I’m ever hearing of a Flybe IFS. (In Flight Shutdown)

Spreading its wings, Conviasa, a state owned airline in Venezuela intends operating a route from Caracas to Tehran, via Damascus using an Airbus A340, YV1004, ex F-WQTN, EC-JGU!
A fascinating report which should be under trip reports, but it is not mine unfortunately! Tehran to Caracas in a 31 year old 747SP, do not miss this very interesting story!:D
And some more pictures of her here and the story of her fate.
Super, super, super, can’t wait for part trois!:D
DH.60x Moth EC-BAJ 27-3-41 ntu c/n. 499 ex(30-75), M-CCCA; EC-CCA
re-registered EC-EAA(2) 9-9-42; EC-AELdh83
Thanks for the info. I didn’t understand why it didn’t have a U.K. registration, that was my puzzle. What is the significance of M-CCCA? The addition of EC-AEL enabled me to locate a photo. I believe the Spanish Air Force used the plane which is now cancelled, probably in the 50’s.

Thankyou Newforest! You really do know your stuff!
Not until 1.00 today!:p Weather’s bad, it’s a web day!
Would that be a G*I*psy Moth? 😉 :p
Yes, my handwriting says Gipsy but my typing says something else, at least I can spell De Havilland when I need to!:D
The title says it all really, if anybody knows how many seats the BAC 3-11 was supposed to have I would be very thankful?
Thank you in advance sealordlawrence.
