They may well have been difficult to get in Britain, but what about in Germany?

Don’t ask me, I wasn’t here then! I would have been on the winning side if I’d arrived earlier. Bananas were 1d, that is one penny each when they were reintroduced after the war and incidentally I used to work for Fyffes at one time.

Sex and bananas in the same paragraph, getting pretty close to the censor’s pencil! (and that is two threads in a row you mention bananas).

The islands seemed to have recovered pretty well from the abolition of slavery and now thrive on tourism, petroleum refining and offshore finance (money laundering) not to mention the illegal transhipment of pleasure enhancing chemicals.

Your threads seem to have some resemblance in dialogue to Stormbird 262, any connection?:D

Looks like an old WW2 airfield to me. Don’t forget you have to create runways over there. Thereare no dry lakes, or green meadows in the area 😉
And from the trace on the ground, I would say it is currently used by dirt bike riders.

On a side note, the track home builders went bananas in that area…

But equilateral and with a fourth runway in the middle? Agree with you about the homes, my son in law lives in one. And the word is TRACT!:)

Looks as though it should have a four bladed installation in that position, but the EC130 has only three blades.

My son in law flew PHX-LHR-STR two weeks ago, two bags missing out of four. One arrived at the hotel over one day later and the other two days later. Two of the four bags which were brand new had been damaged. He is in the air at the moment, so we will see how much he loses on the return journey.

Well, the family arrived safely PHX, one bag didn’t.:D Nothing prejudicial about it, it was a different bag from the other missing two, so it gives them a chance to damage a third brand new bag.:mad:

It was in MAN a while back taking Tony Blair to South Africa after his usual aircraft whent tech, I think. The owner is down as PJS – Al Nassr Ltd., BM – Not sure who he is, there’s probably hundreds of Al Nassr’s in Saudi Arabia…
It seems to do charters for people in high places aswell!

Not sure about your first tech quote, but it definitely went tech in South Africa with Tony.

BA sure have problems with baggage at LHR. Last February, CNN showed a corridor at the airport with hundreds of missing bags.

There were 12 to 14 passengers at STR with missing luggage:D :confused:
