With JT just appearing on tonights “Friday Night With Jonathan Ross” ( recorded yesterday ), he mentioned he arrived in the UK in his 707.Anyone know where it landed, and is it still here?

I think you will find it is the company demostrator G-AVTU. Do a search on airliners.net

That’s what I was doing yesterday and didn’t find it then and this photo doesn’t prove it either!

Huh?? If you knew anything about Doves/Devons and Herons then you’d realise those props belong to the far aircraft. And that makes it a Heron.:cool:

Heron – look closely and you can see two sets of props (ie four engines).

Of course you can see two sets of props, you are looking at two noses!:D

I don’t dispute it is on Barnstormers but where, not Percival, restoration, salvage or rebuilder? It is difficult to see a value of 6k, that would be £££’s?

Edit, Found it after search, is reg. SE-BTR, I would say the price would be nearer £7600.

Another one of the ever increasing number of vintage aircraft that stop off in the UK then cross the “pond” never to be seen in the flesh again, it does p**! you off a bit don’t it!!!!

Has been in the U.K. for about five years and just emerged from storage in North Norfolk. Considering its destination, is the Paul Allen connection a red herring or has he sold it?

And I’ve only seen one once, to the best of my knowledge, when the Lufthansa-owned example overflew Edinburgh a few years back….

Giving away your location there! I saw two Swiss ones flying over our house last year. The example at the Sinsheim Museum was painted red so it may have been stripped if it is the one bypassing Colchester. That wieesos’ is on the ball again, where does he come from?

Edit. the Sinsheim Museum would seem to have three Ju.52’s in stock and this does not include the roadrunner which came from Deggendorf.

Heading south on the A12 would indicate that it was shipped in via F`stow and would be en-route to an unknown distination at the present time.

Good point Tiger Moth, they are going to renovate it in the UK and fly it to the US!:D 😀 😀
