Please enter these amounts exactly as they appear on your bank statement

The above is what seems to be the problem. What does it mean?

If the amounts were £0.04 and £0.07, these would be the amounts they require to be confirmed. The Paypal instructions are usually pretty clear on these things. Of course you probably haven’t got a bank statement yet with these amounts, unless you have an electronic account. 🙂

    Hello.

However, it says that my bank acount is unconfirmed. When I went to confirm it, they say I need to deposit an amount of money, so I put in £0.12. But it then tells me that the amount is incorrect.

What do I do? I need to find a way to confirm my account, so I can send the item out.

    Help will be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

    N808NW.

When I opened my account, I had to put two amounts in, this took a few days to reach the bank account, then you advise Paypal what those figures are and your account is confirmed! 🙂

Superb photos on this thread! 🙂

And now for the dumb question, why is the primer in different colours on the plane? Is it different materials, different department doing that section or what?

The Zeppelin company are indeed in business at Friedrichshafen where the original company was based. I was at the GA show there in April this year and although one of their craft was in the hangar the “flier” was away on a contract in Munich. There seemed to be an air of optimism about the place particularly for using them as TV platforms.
I hope this helps but if you are really keen I know the German mob do trips over the Bodensee which could be really good fun.

And here is the proof although I have not yet flown in it 🙂

Or could it be this one? The Cavanaugh Flight Museum have a composite example on display in Addison, Texas. This is on loan from RRS Aviation. 🙂

Not sure if this is the same one, but there was one for sale in Suffolk, Virginia. The serial number is ANAE231 and it was retrieved from Russia. I believe it is the fuselage only.

PHOENIX – A man who was killed in a plane crash in Casa Grande did not have a pilot’s license and his combined third-class medical and student pilot certificate had expired, according to investigators.
The report by the National Transportation Safety Board also states that the 1961 plane Jacob Lundell used to practice touch-and-go maneuvers at Casa Grande Municipal Airport had never been registered by Lundell’s mother after its purchase.
Lundell’s father, Paradise Valley surgeon Dr. Mark Lundell, and a brother were at the Casa Grande airport when the plane crashed Oct. 22.

Lundell’s father removed his 21-year-old son’s dead body from the crash before investigators could arrive and then drove to his Paradise Valley home, where police officers were waiting.

According to Federal Aviation Administration records, an experimental operating certificate was issued for the airplane in 1980 for the sole purpose of exhibition within a 300-mile radius of Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.

No charges have been brought against any family members for removing a body from the scene of an accident

Update on the story from Phoenix.

Claims to be an ex Queen’s Flight aircraft, but no serial number.

The fuselage was last offered at £5000 a few weeks ago! 😉

😉 Just seen a new GA newspaper that is free, ie does not cost anything. 😮 Copies are to be sent to a/c owners but if you wish to receive a copy go to http://www.zoom.aero and register then you should start getting your free copies. :p We should all make use of something that is free in the world of flying 🙂

Thanks birdman, the link doesn’t work, got another one?

My earliest memories of airfix were rows and rows of plastic bags hanging up on racks in my local model shop at 2/- (10p) each.

I remember the plastic baggies! I think the more expensive models were in boxes, those were beyond us. I think all the plastic was white at that time and you had little capsules of paint? The earliest kit that I can remember making was the SR.53 and an Auster. 🙂
