    Cardiff flight…surprisingly wasnt a tech delay! 😮

Late catering was the cause. AMJ was in LGW, the flight was from CWL-SFB and the catering was coming from MAN!!
Its CWL’s first of the season, great start!

According to Jethro’s TOM have leased a Spanair MD80 for a month!
    Seems a bit random.
Have they done this before during the summer? Or is it current fleets problems?
    Anyone shed any light?

MyTravel often rotate their aircraft. CWL has seen 4 different aircraft since 1st May.

Out of curiosity. What is the situation with Skyservice/Mytravel/First Chocie aircraft. I know SkyService use FCA and MYT aircraft in the Winter. But who actually owns them?
As the FCA aircraft at CWL is Canadian Reg.
    …Same for Excel and Sunwing….

At CWL, to catch up with the bad weather delays from Friday which spilled over onto saturdays schedule:
    XLA CWL-DLM – Air Greenland 757-200
    TOM CWL-CFU – GSM 767-300
TOM also brought in one of their 752′ to operate CWL-BOJ
and another of their 737’s to operate CWL-PUL for cruise pax that should have got on the ship in CFU
And i think a BMI mainline was in to help BMI Baby to catch up on their schedule

The sat CWL-PMI flight is on a W pattern with EMA.(EMA-PMI-CWL-PMI-EMA). The PMI-CWL was operated into LGW on G-XLAA and coached back to CWL, yet the CWL-PMI was operated as normal, on the MD-80 (i think) The MD-80 was tech in turkey but by looks of it was fixed in time to do the CWL-PMI-EMA in the afternoon. XL had a bad day of it yesterday trying to find replacement aircraft. The TCD CWL-SFB is going under an JN flight number this year. Its all basically the same company and most is sooner or later going to absorb into one.

It was always rumoured that they didnt get on with the Airport, but didnt actually think they would pull out.
Ryanair nearly always had good loads out of CWL, so all of the above are likely contenders i’d say! With the right marketing there could be room for 2 operators.

Unless the plans have recently been changed, it should be a -300.
When did you find this out Spence? Would be better if it is a -800 though!
But the CWL-JER is an Aer Arann ATR42, hopefully if the route is succesfull maybe they will upgrade to an ATR72

Great news! Is a baby 737 viable on the Jersey route though??
