Regarding A225HVY’s mention of the disclaimer….
I thought it was hilarious for them to make that statement!!
Mind you I am easily amused and dont take life tooooo seriously
I’ve watched and thorougly enjoyed it as a time waster on a recent flight..
Watch it to the end and read the disclaimer from the producers it’s hilarious, extracting the urine from aircarft buffs:D:D:D
Mercury Aircraft Tug with Perkins P6 engine
Mercury Aircraft Tug with Perkins P6 engine
Here we have for sale a 1957 Mercury Aircraft Tug.
Bought new by Rolls Royce and spent its working life at Filton Aerodrome near Bristol.
Now registered with DVLA as an agricultural tractor. (Historic vehicle taxation class)
There is weighbridge ticket of 1959 which states the vehicle weighs 6 tons 5cwt and 3 qtrs.
The engine runs sweetly. ( I am willing to sell by itself for £500)
It is on a 24volt start up system. NO battery included. (I will supply 1 for viewing purposes)
Clutch does not work. No seats.
Compressor missing.
Footplate and throttle mechanism missing. Headlights missing. Brakes not working.
To sum this up, this would make a great restoration project or I will weigh in. (which will be a shame because there are so few of these about, but do not have the time.
Will have to be transported away.
Payment on collection.
Any questions please ring 07971828371. Thanks for looking.
As I thought

Unfortunately, the prospects for reviving the shuttle project now appear more unlikely than ever. On 12 May 2002, most of the roof of the enormous Site 112 where the Buran orbiter and all remaining Energia boosters were being stored collapsed. Funding had been cut so low that routine maintenance had not been performed on the building in over a decade. The roof was known to leak and sag excessively under the weight of snow. This lack of maintenance coupled with strong winds finally led to a structural collapse that killed eight workers and destroyed the Buran.
IIRC these were destroyed not so long since back when the building roof collapsed
Don’t forget it’s tonight;)
Not bad for a 3 day notification from charter to moving the aircraft. Luckily the Antonov was due in Goose to offload cargo and was due to fly empty to New Richmond to pick up another load:cool:
Last time I went over 5 years ago I went to The Three Stags which is on the opposite corner to the entance. A typical Londing drinking pub with good lunchtime meals

If you don’t get any reply from Brunty and you have any Jag specific posters I would be interested in taking them off your hands.
