I was lucky enough to meet him at Newmarket when he attended a meeting with my work. I sat at the dinner table with him and he gave me a signed book “Weston Spirit”

    Open Day 2011

It was decided at our AGM on Friday that there will be an Open Day on September 2011. This goes against an earlier decision not to hold one this year.

We havnt a lot of time but if anyone is interested please contact me at control.tower.mhas.org.uk. we are looking for traders and exhibitors alike. It has been a good day out with no addmission charge although donations would be nice.

Way back when Bentwaters was being sold it was said that it was an emergency landing strip for the Shuttle.

    You’re proabably right….

edit: There are mentions on t’inteweb that Elvington was on the list during the 1980’s. Nothing definitive though, but I don’t think it’s folklore. The UK sites are only to be used if the shuttle is forced to abandon launch before getting to orbit. Even Fairford is not a ‘mission completed’ landing zone.

I think you need some of each source so that you are not totally dependant on any one. Yes have as much eco friendly power as possible and supplement it with others

The turbine doesn’t effect the air show at Lowestoft

Is it a legal CAA requirement or a Duxford preference

Dont get me wrong I love and am a great supporter of the air shows at Duxford
