Deepest sympathies to the folks in London – my second favorite city in the world next to my beloved New York. Six of my friends were murdered in cold blood on September 11, 2001 here in NYC. I also almost lost my brother that day (an FDNY Paramedic). I can say with certainty that all Americans stand shoulder to shoulder with our British cousins.
It is not poverty, lack of education and lack of opportunity that leads to terrorism. In fact, I believe you will find in attacks against the West that terrorists are usually very well educated and come from the middle and so-called upper classes. It is a totalitarian philosophy of hatred and death practiced by sociopaths full of contempt for their peers and self-impressed with their own wisdom. They count on good men and women of all nations and faiths (including their own) to cower, as some in the past have and currently still do, in the hope that the alligator eats them last. That won’t happen with the Brits, it won’t happen with the Americans, and it won’t happen to those who recognize that there is no ignoring, excusing or understanding evil. Theirs is a dead end philosophy that takes comfort in the amount of blood spilled while ours is a civilization that celebrates the fulfillment of human potential.
Today they claim their grievance is Iraq, however that excuse is betrayed as a lie by almost 30 years of terrorist violence perpetrated all around the globe with the blasphemous claim that it was all done in the name of Allah.
The only way they win is if we lose the will to confront them. As for fears of a backlash against Muslims, the same fears were brought up here in the States in the wake of the 9/11/01 attacks, but with extremely rare exception it didn’t happen. Let’s not make the mistake of projecting the evil culture desired by our enemies upon ourselves. It is that tolerance and decency that is the true target of their hatred. We will go on and they will continue to fail to shake us.
God Bless all the good people of the United Kingdom.

RWR sensors.
Thank you for the response!
Sure does look like a pretty large installation compared to the RWR “bumps” that have traditionally been on the F-16’s nose section.
Anyone know for sure what the two gray bulges are on the port & starboard side of the F-16I’s nose just aft of the radar bulkhead? E/O, EW, I/R, etc.?
Apologies if this info is out there and I’m too dense to have found it. 😮
Given Northrop-Grumman‘s involvement with the F-35 (center fuselage, radar, E/O system, etc.) a “Cat” name is always an option – at least for the US Navy & US Marine Corps variants.
How about for the USN/USMC “Wildcat II” or “Hellcat II,” and our British cousins could then proceed to name theirs some mark of “Martlet”? :p
