There was 2 allocated UK registrations G-AYBV and G-BGHX. I think Mr Mills use to the fuselage of G-AYBV at his workshop at Eversden.

Whilst flying over foulness about 10 yrs back i noted the collection which was located at the far end of Island.
Since then it has moved on. Last i heard the owner was trying to do a deal with the museum at Benwaters.
But i believe the collection may actually now be stored in one of the former HAS shelters on Bentwaters.

I thought it was going to be names Southend – Hattie Jacques
Did Kim,s dad also work for Nigel i think he was called Roy ???
Roy came to work for Routair and used to tell stories about Nigel.
Nigel had a house at Milden with a small airstrip by the side. He apparently landed one of the Daks there.
Another day Nigel was doing some flying around in his Gyrocopter there was a Orchard in the Garden and Nigel went between the tree,s and then hit a tree, apparently they found Nigel a little shaken but the gyro totally destroyed.
Brian Sims is still around local LAA(PFA) inspector.
Morris Jackson built a Rans S7 but sold it on as his health was fading , i think he,s still about.
Also was,nt one of the engineers Peter Hamilton. I saw him working on one of the 748,s at Southend late last year.

I live nearby and heard that they had stopped doing anything to her, as the owners where trying to pay..But this was only a temporary reprive and work would start again if they did not pay up….
All i can suggest that you all e-mail the airport director at
Email: enquiries@southendairport.com
Making a complaint about the way they are treating the parking of the Belfast, at one time the parking charge was not much but since the airport has a new airport director (ex BAA) they have raised the charges considerably to an extent that the airline cannot afford to pay…

Local southend rumour.
She was towed to the main apron yesterday and cleaned by one of those commercial aviation cleaning companies. And then towed back to the north side.
This is apparently part of the airworthiness process to get her back in the air.
Apparently sometime in may/june they plan to lease a bay in one of the hangars for a day or two to do under carriage retraction tests.
Then rumours she is going onto the american register as a means to getting her airborne.
