“What we have here…….. is a failure……….. to communicate”
Well this study must be right, they dont believe the Pak-Fa will be in the same leage as the F-22/35 :diablo:
Ehhhh, just the say the Raptor is here, but I for one am anxiously awaiting the next product of Russian engineering. 🙂
But the Raptor was here first :diablo:
Sorry GA, I’ll leave my standup routine at the door 🙂

“Some” time? How about >100 years? 30 years after the end of the American Rebellion, the UK & USA were at war. A little over 30 years later, American politicians were openly advocating war (“Fifty-four Forty or Fight!”), & the RN was preparing to re-commission ships from reserve. 15 years after that, they had armed stand-offs. A few years later, they were moving ships & troops around in threatening ways yet again.
I know, I should have used a better term to specify the timescale. But, after those 100 years and scuffles, especially after the War of 1812, what happened?
More and more trade becoming an ever important concern? I know over the years there have been scuffles, but it seems as if they were “put down quietly” if you know what I mean.
BTW, as an American, It is funny to hear of the “American Rebellion” 😀 , brothers divded by a common language, something like that I guess 🙂

We should build about 220 more. About 70 for the Air Force and 150 for the Navy. It will take some doing to navalize the aircraft, but the US has been throwing money at everything lately so, so what.
You aren’t serious are you? Please tell me you are not….
Well, I was basically speaking in general about the ME but I still say, other than Israel, a nuke is bad ju ju for the region…….
Saying that im not saying Israel should have 1 or 1000, I am just saying.
I pointed this out before, and no one really talked about it. Israel has had nukes for years, well we “believe” they have nukes, to play that game. Question is, why hasn’t anyone else in the middle east decided they need nukes too?
I think this comes down to more than Israel and Iran, let alone any other “ME” country. One thing any ME country knows is, well, at least in the past, is that Israel will not act “outwardly” without the US’s consent…..(ok flame me now, I am, and admit, playing simplistics). However, I have heard, and maybe my source is wrong, but that if Iran were to get Nukes, it would set off a Nuke program in every country in the ME that could do/afford it…..namely, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, etc etc etc, hell we all know they have enough oil money, if need be, they can. Does this argument have any water? Id like to know, as some people know I have no problem waving my flag, but I still wana know the whole story.
Personally, I would be “ok” with a purchase of around 200-300 F-22s to replace all F-15s…..(not including “Strike Eagle”)
That being said, I only say that thinking/”hoping” the F-22 is less maintenance intensive(bar stealth crap) and is structurally sound……..I for one hope and think it is now ok, airframe wise, but the first few batches with the hole ass end screwup?…. I’m not sure, any update on that?
This may sound completely stupid and off topic, but when I drive my gargantuan 4 x 4, diesel, 4 door 5 “luxurious” seats, 6 wheeled pick up truck (which I do use for work everyday, and tow my WWII reenactment vehicle/equipment with, thank you very much) I have to laugh at the global warming alarmist.
For what amounts to about a 2 hr drive, not far outside Philadelphia, PA, I can go to the “Boulder Field”, in Hickory Run State Park,PA. Its claim to fame is this huge field of boulders, some the size of busses, that were all deposited during the last ice age. I’ve been there, I have walked straight across (longways arghhhhhhh) this field. Where were the humans and internal combustion engines at that point to kill the ice age?

HpSauce,
Yes, I’m also sure that the majority of people are decent upright and non-threatening…….but they are not the ones buying guns.
Funny thing is, in the US, they ARE the one buying the firearms…….
