ehhhh except for Katherine Harris, whom by the way was proven right if I remember correctly, the other two issues you mentioned are hardly a Republican only problem, especially Gerrymandering which helps the incumbent most. Lets not forget a politicians job, Rep or Dem, once elected, is to keep getting reelected. At least thats the way they think, hence is why any talk of term limits is hushed by both parties very quickly.

In respect to voting fraud and IDs, you do know that many states have tried to put in a law that says in order to vote you need to show a picture ID, and its usually quashed as racist or something along those lines. Here in PA, when I go to vote, I tell them my name, show them my voter registration card, and thats it. They check my name against the registration database and Im cleared to vote. Now you may say well their, you have a voters ID. A 10 year old with a computer and scanner could make a copy, its nothing more than a little piece of paper with some typewriter typing on it, and no picture…..see what I am getting at? Register all these voters, print up a bunch of phoney voter refistration cards and away you go.

And also dont forget, after the election, these registrations have a purpose too. Lets say McCain wins by a small margin, in say, PA. All these false registrations could possibly be used to show how Obama supporters were “kept from the polls” etc etc. Mark my words, this will happen if anything remotely doesn’t go the way the Obama Campaign and Media believe it should.

And before you call me a Republican hack, I will admit I am registered Republican but will be changing to Independent due to my complete displeasure of most of the Republicans, including McCain. If the party believes the way is to become more “centrist” or left, well I’ll kindly let myself off the train, I want nothing to do with it. And believe me, more than quite a few people feel this way.

The Republicans decided to throw out the wisdom that had been hard-won during the Great Depression and now here we are.

This statement clearly explains to me that you sir have a very narrow view on history let alone economics. The Great Depression was nothing more than an overreaction to a market correction by the people to a degree, but in actuality was used as a reason to “experiment” (FDR’s words, not mine) with central control of the economy. Even the agencies that “worked” under the New Deal did not accomplish the New Deals original intent, to end the depression. The only thing that ended the depression was in fact the war industry, and the fact that a lot of our boys were overseas (not needing domestic jobs at the time). Read up on what many of FDR’s braintrusters said of what they did years afterward, there was a lot of negativity in the lack of accomplishment.

also, the obama campaign, just as the mccain campaign has thousands of supporters… mistakes have been made on both sides, i doubt these guys, who were most probably college students, were actually trying to pull one over on the election commission… i think they were just kids who just weren’t completely sure and made a mistake

Please, you can’t really expect to be taken seriously with a statement like that.

Here’s the problem, this ACORN group is funded by the Taxpayers and is nothing more than a “get out the vote” group for the Democratic party. Thats what really earks me, using MY money for this crap.

    Politicians.
The desire to be a politician is true testimony that you are not intelligent enough to actually make important decisions.

I absolutely LOVE this statement, truer words have never been spoken.

A source for the information on the idea of nationalizing the 401(k)s

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122477680834462659.html

Oh and btw, Cuito, do you not realize Social Security, let alone Medicare and Medicaid, are teetering on the edge of collapse? WTF is the difference? I’m 27 years old, pay a great deal into all 3 TAXES every paycheck, actually probably more than you do since I’m self-employed and have to pay the employee and employer TAXES, and I won’t see a dam cent from any one of them when I want them in my later years. Now do tell, how in the hell is that FAIR?

I will agree with you one one thing though, and thats that Bush helped push through this socialist bail-out program, at least you called it exactly what it was, socialist. Funny though, how all the democrats that currently run congress aren’t socialist, even though Bush is. Give me a break.

If your statement applies to wars like the invasion of grenada or Panama by the US or even the invasion of Iraq and operation allied force then the US would had lost all its aircraft the US has lost less than 100 aircraft in those wars, Russia did not lose a large amount of aircraft in its recent war with Georgia and the Losses by the Soviet Union versus afghanistan never put in risk the Soviet air force and it was similar in the Iraq-Iran war
however the minor air forces saw themselves defeated and without any chance of winning

I know not everyone on here speaks english as they’re primary language, but look at what I said again and re-think your position please.

I said modern wars between two military giants, not these skirmishes we have been seeing such as the exact cases that you pointed out, thank you very much.

Wasnt WWIII expected to be a war of attrition and whoever ended up in the best position in three weeks or so would be the victor? (non-nuclear of course)

A modern war, not these skirmishes that we are used to seeing, but a modern war between two military giants will end in both sides being completely depleted unless a truce is called before hand. Modern Industry, at its current size/limitations, can not keep pace with the speed at which a war like this would be fought. Period.
