At face value it doesn’t look like radium paint which is normally crusty brown in appearance.
There are a couple of threads running on Facebook about this and also another thread on this forum, from memory it has been identified by others as a Percival Sea Prince.
On the left is a Junkers 52 and the right a Junkers W34. Both wheels are very similar but there are subtle differences, the main difference being that the diameter of the W34 wheel is slightly smaller. These W34 wheels are often mistakenly sold on the market as being from a 52. Always worth knowing these subtle differences, the devil being in the detail. I do like the designs of early German wheels especially the combination of wood and metal.
After many years of hunting I finally acquired this Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 wheel. This was advertised recently on an online auction site. There doesn’t seem to be much Italian WWII aeronautical stuff about, therefore pleased with the acquisition.
The Embraer 190 series column is very nice and so is the aircraft too. The E190 yoke very much reminds of those used on the Bristol Britannia.
The photo is of the first French production Concorde, the yoke is not exact but not dissimilar either, may be worth working backwards to pre production stage.
Yes it was sold on eBay as a Concorde yoke and you obviously wish to clarify if it is, Correct?
Best place to start is to look at the pre production mock-ups. A number of full size Concorde mock-ups made of wood etc were built prior to production. These featured in exhibitions and also assisted the technicans in working out the ergonomics of the interiors and cockpits. Each mock-up cockpit was fitted with control columns. Both the French and British built a number of mock-ups, and from the cockpit photos of the mock-ups which I have studied all the yokes appear to be different to each other. I suppose the yokes were developed and constantly evolved from the learning of the mock-ups, photos of the interior mock-ups including cockpits can be found on the internet with a bit of patience when searching on Google.
Once production started the yoke design pretty much settled. I think there may have been 2 different types of yokes post production, the main production yoke may have differed slightly from the flown test aircraft.
Anyhow long and short is I cannot confirm but there could be a chance it’s from one of the mock-up aircraft.
The Bristol Britannia part number shouldn’t phase you as I have a Britannia yoke and it’s noting like this one.. Both aircraft Being built in the same place may be why they have the same or similar number.
If the yoke is part of the pre production batch then it’s an important artefact of the Concorde development programme.

I agree with you Brian, having spent much time in France and many hours in French Broconte Markets, French aviation items are few and far between. The online French Aviation Comptoir store is indeed a tad expensive but the owner does buy quality items to sell. I did visit his shop in Paris a few years ago, very refreshing and interesting to see a whole shop dedicated to aviation parts. The owner told me that his online business runs itself and he doesn’t need to keep the shop premises open but does it to meet like minded people who share a similar interest in collecting, people walking through his door were a good source of acquiring aviation items for him. To me he lives the dream! On the control wheel front I did purchase some control wheels from him, one of which was a lovely Sud Aviation Caravelle control column and yoke (complete) This guy’s website is always worth a trawl now and again to see what pops up.
Good Hunting gentlemen!
