Maybe Keep this thread going and upload some pictures on here with updates.
Very nice cap for the older style TU95 wheel. This particular example of wheel missing it’s switch housing on the right side.
Best of luck Gents, will be great to see this bird fly again.
Thanks for your observations Nick
Hi, having stripped back a British wartime / interwar Control Yoke (Sorry no ID on this and cannot post pictures but appears large and multi engine type) I note that at some stage it had been painted green. I would like to paint it back in its original colours and wondered if anyone could help me with the following information please?
I) What was the primer colour used on British wartime or interwar years yokes.
II) What type of green colour paint was used on British or interwar years yoke or even cockpits?
Thanks in advance for any information.
Hi Nick, A question for you regarding this item on eBay, listed as B24 or early B36.
On your yoke thread on Us Military forum you discuss the early and late B36 yokes and provide example pictures.
I note that on all the pictures I’ve seen of both B24 and B36 yokes the end of the yoke arms are flat and level facing the pilot, this appears to be a common feature for these types of aircraft, perhaps I’m wrong?
I note that the particular yoke on eBay has no flat ends. Interestingly enough APHS has a similar type yoke listed as DC-4E

Any thoughts?
Fiat G91 grip on eBay with provenance
Interesting to see the photos of the cockpits in the farmers field, hopefully they will get a good scrub down.
Great to see that Ken’s collection may have finally found a new (and dry) home.
I have sent you a message visotka1 (look at the top of the screen under notifications) to see if you are able to source any yoke switches / buttons in particular the red auto pilot buttons.
Thank you for your confirmation, your cockpit photographs of the TU128 are much better than the reference photo I had available.
Visotka1 – Do you know which Tupolev aircraft this yoke is from? I originally purchased it some years ago as a TU22 but I am thinking maybe it is a TU128 Fiddler. Do you (or anyone else with Soviet knowledge) have any thoughts?
Great L-39 project you have there visotka1. If it helps some instruments and panels for L-39 can be found on this website on occasions.
Welcome to the forum visotka1, it will be good to have your knowledge of Soviet sticks / Grips on this forum.
Can you tell us a little about yourself, where you are from and what your collecting theme is? I’m guessing Soviet grips?
Thanks for the reply Alan.
