HP81 – Nice collection of airliner yokes there, I’m particularly pleased that you have kept the ship numbers with the yokes, something often neglected on acquisition. For me the history is a large part of the yoke and go hand in hand. Panam was my favourite airline, in fact in its heyday the Pan Am logo was the second most recognised symbol around the world, Coca Cola being the first. The Britannia yoke is lovely, as you well know it started life as RAF XL635 before moving on to the Beligian cargo company. The DC8 cap is a rare find, you will find that it is probably worth just as much as the yoke itself, not many of these original caps about on the market.

Nice work there Tony, a useful reference. I always thought this thread deserves a swap list. No doubt most of us will have duplicate yokes or grips which we are willing to trade / swap amongst ourselves. A bit like Noel Edmonds swap shop, anyone remember that ?
one day I might try and restore this!
Nice project, well worthy of sticking it back together, what’s the history behind this particular wheel ?
Well done on the identification Nick, I took the advert at face value, do you have a reference photograph? Yes indeed an obscure aircraft of which I have not heard of before.
It just may be restricted viewing from certain countries, UK seems to be okay and never a problem with German wartime memorabilia. Yes footballer prices indeed but wartime German, Italian and Japanese aviation memorabilia always fetches a high premium no doubt because a lot of the aircraft from the loosing side were scrapped and smelted down, hence much rarer than RAF or USAF items of the same period of time.

Came across this image, anyone know the aircraft type? Could this be classed as an aircraft carrier?
Unfortunately the days of good aerojumbles are long gone, lots of factors have contributed to its dimise namely liability insurance, event site fees and eBay. Just for novelty value here is a clip on YouTube of the Yeovilton aerojumble back in 1984.
DC-3 yoke here, not ideal as somewhat damaged, the unusual thing here is the JATO button switch (Jet Assisted Take Off) probably ex artic / snow operations.
Another DC-3 yoke here:
And another DC-3 here although I am dubious about the size of the centre sprocket on this one, could possibly be an adaption for a link trainer.
Another French aviation site which sells bits and pieces is:

1st May 2017, Popham airfield aero / auto jumble.
Thanks for the suggestion brataccas, I’ll look into it.
The Russians did it too in 1963 when an Aeroflot Tupolev 124 ditched into the Neva river. I guess the hero on this occasion was the tug boat driver, see last paragraph of this link:

Hello Capitanblood, nice photo of the yoke on the left which aircraft does this belong too?
