Nice selection of buttons Capitanblood, I ‘I’ve sent you a PM (Private Message)
Funnily enough talking about Russian autopilot switches, I could do with one or two if by chance anyone has any for trade or sale etc..
Cathy Pacific Boeing 747-400, Manchester to Bruntingthorpe for the impending axe
Exactly as you said Nick, it’s a heron or dove with a modified R/T button. Both aircraft had the same yoke and column design. Really cannot differentiate the two unless the seller has some history as to where it was removed from.
Thanks papa Juliet for the heads up on this programme, it pretty much looked like an authentic control wheel and throttle box. If anyone wants to watch this programme on catch up it’s BBC1 Flog it , Series 13 episode 36 Nottingham 6. The item appears around about the 30 minute mark.
Good to see the Russian aviation industry is on a come back. It will add a bit of variety to our skies once again, looking upwards and constantly seeing A320’s and Boeing 737’s sure does get boring! Pity that glass noses will be out of the question for these new Russian designs.
The D328 looks nice, I think Turkey is looking to re manufacture an updated version of this aircraft. Anyhow nice photos all round.
Russian built aircraft are sorely missed from our skies, they always added variety. Look to the skies these days and it’s 80% chance it’s a 737-800 or an A320. Very sterile!
This link shows all aircraft crashes in France, just pick out these which occurred near to Paris
I spoke to the crew on Sunday during the open day and they never mentioned this, the impression I got was slowly slowly it will go back to some sort of display condition. But then again they are personally not the owners of this bird so may not have been privy to negotiations with other third parties.
Hi Rob, I may come to this, out of interest what’s organised on the side lines for visitors / spectators? (If anything?)
Never thought I would see the day when terrorism had an impact on aerojumbles!
Yes from NZ, fortunately their postal fees are not too bad, can’t say the same for our custom import duties though, they Really stung me!!
Last time I saw a Bristol Freighter was around 1997-98 at Heathrow of all places!
