Airspeed Horsa yoke and column for sale here if anyone is interested.

Lockheed Neptune P2V7 yoke, French Navy aircraft number 330, on 15 Aug 1984 landed with one engine on the Pacific island of Uvea Wallis, last flight. History is engraved into the bespoke hub cap.
Any idea why one yoke is different to another on the Ashton? I’ve seen this happen on a number of prototype aircraft before. Just to satisfy curiosity attached is an image of an Avro Tudor cockpit.
There is an Avro Ashton fuel and throttle mixture quadrant for sale here:

Give them a call and see if they are feeling generous!
I’m normally a big fan of ebay (the arguments of this is another story!) Anyhow what gets my goat is when people advertise something as “rare” without knowing what it is. Last week there was a listing for “ A very rare control yoke” The seller went on to say “I am not sure what type of plane this came from so if you know please feel free to message me so I can let everyone else know.” . Well first point is how does the seller know it’s “a very rare” item if he does not know what it is from? I’ve seen this phrase used so many times. When I told the seller what type of aircraft the yoke came from, in this case it was a business jet, did he complete his promise of letting everyone else know? Of course not, because the rarity of the item had gone out of the window and it no longer suited his purposes. He ho! Just a gripe, I wish people were a bit more honest and responsible!
Cockpit for sale at a reasonable price, good start up project. Item number 221258263168
Whats the grip from?
Early EE Lightning front panel complete with instruments for sale on ebay. Item 131074262289
I seem to think that the millennium falcon had Vickers Viscount yokes? One reason why they go for so much money as believe it or not you tend to compete against the Star wars fans!
Thanks Tony, happy that I´ve got it.
Seems, everything regarding Buccaneer instrument panel parts seem to be quite rare, as example haven´t seen the interesting ASI and NAV indicator at the market before.
Kind regards,
Herbert
I assembled a Buccaneer panel some 8 years back (since sold), even then the pieces were quite difficult to get hold of. I seem to remember that there was some commonality with Lightning instrumentation therefore some of the items were sought after by different collectors making the prices quite competitive. Still with these difficulties acquiring items made it even more rewarding. I found that the most difficult item to source was the instrument crate which housed the square compass, artificial horizon and ASI etc. Never did manage to acquire this in the end. The small MK27 altimeter was also hard to acquire as it also appealed to many micro lite pilots due to its size (I also believe the Gnat panels had these) I have long since sold my panel collection, did have about 30 odd different panels from the RAF and RN but storage space became an issue. I Just have a Supermarine Attacker panel left. I wish you luck in gathering the pieces , I may have some drawings of the cockpit and instrument layouts of the Bucc both front and back if interested. PM me your address if you need a copy.
Can you also post a couple of shots of the cockpit interior time permitting? Thanks
Lovely will it be opened up for the next aerojumble?
Can anyone recommend a reliable low cost geiger counter, I’d be interested in buying one just to check everything I have for peace of mind.
Cheers
When i collected instrument panels some time ago I purchased my geiger counter from ebay. You can get small digital hand held ones the size of a mobile phone, I think it originated from the eastern block or that neck of the woods. Easy to use Just point it near to the instrument face, click a button and get a reading. I didn’t have much trouble selling it on when I stopped collecting. Best do some research first to see which is the best one for you as there are many types.
