Dc-7C African Queen, I believe the cockpit remains, interesting history ex BOAC DC-7c seven seas, Eventually ended up as a freighter, shot at and hit by a SAM missile over the sharah desert during the Moroccan or Algerian war? It was mistaken for a C130 Hercules from the ground. Pilot managed to make an emergency landing t a nearby airfield.

I tend to agree with the comments made by Bruce, times have changed and we better get use to it. eBay is one of many mediums of selling items, if you dont like it then don’t log on to the web site, simple!

If you feel that you have to log on to search for that elusive part then you must find it useful and therefore cannot complain. In a free market the seller can ask for what ever they want, nobody is forced into buying the said item.

How many people on this forum have sold a house or a car and deliberately lowered the market price to make it more affordable to others. In reality I suspect when we sell something regardless of what it is we all look for the best possible price.

As a seller and a buyer on eBay I think it is a great site. I also have the option not to to log on if I didn’t agree with its ethics. No one is forcing this site down your throat, if you dont like it then don’t use it as there are plenty of other outlets and sites that sell aircraft parts and memorbilla.

Another good event, picked up a Douglas C54 yoke and a pair of Luftwaffe goggles which I was pleased about. Plenty of Aircraft grips and interesting parts about. Thanks to Andy and any others who organised / helped with the event.

    Simon
APHS currently have two 747-200 (Singapore airlines) and two 747-300 (south African airlines) control wheels for sale with clipboards.
These are all Identical to the 747-400 as I believe the 747 yoke has remained the same style throughout the entire series, very few 747-400 are being scrapped at the moment so very few on the Market, therefore these may be a good alternative.
Did you end up buying the Laker DC10 yoke?

Nice to see another example of this fine aircraft undercover? Wonder how many examples around the world are stored in open elements?
    Great photos well done!

Isn’t most of the LCY-NYC route supported by bank employees from the financial sector regularly flying between both destinations. I have heard of a particular bank block booking seats on every flight regardless of whether they are filled or not (this may be fact or fiction I can not really validate)
Maybe Paris hasn’t got the customers from the banks to support the route.

Was there any other information from the dealer to help identify this apart from a Coventry connection?
