Interesting topic, Thanks for this guys…
Thanks for this keith, lot 1068 seemed a good price especially with the clock included.
Nice shots especially the Herc and the 146. keep em coming!
Top draw stuff! Any more?
Great pictures, I regularly travel to La Rochelle 5-8 times a year and would like to take in some airshows next year around this region and also Potiers, Tours, Cognac areas etc. Can you recommend any good shows for next year?
๐ Sadly NAM took their 360 degree tours off their website thanks to the advice received in their VAQAS inspections as – โthey made us feel dizzy!โ
Fortunately the link is still here http://www.panoguide.com/gallery/554/ thereโs also some information on the technique on the site. ๐
Who are VAQAS?
I agree are there any interior shots of this aircraft particularly the Cockpit?
Out of interest how many 1-11’s are still operational worldwide? Must only be a handful if that ????
Ah, my favourite aircraft (at least one of them!) I’ve tried to scan and attach a decent detailed photograph of the cockpit for you but the file size limit seems to have been exceeded and I cannot attached it to this forum message.
Drop me a private message with your e-mail address and I’ll send via e-mail.
Some instruments can have the aircraft serial number “hand written” on them when removed by the engineers from a particular aircraft usually in some sort of silver type of ink,
However it is very unlikely the factory would imprint the number on the instrument, it probably refers to something else other than the individual aircraft serial number.
Was the number a factory stamp ie embossed or handwritten onto the insrument?
Thanks, makes sense, thought it was Handley Page.
Mustang
The 146 shot is lovely, my favourite plane, long may this British airliner live on, its the only one we’ve got apart from a few odd scattered ATP’s.
A good home can also be a private collector who is willing to restore it to its former glory and display it at shows such as the cockpitfest etc…
