Hi Nicko, Many Thanks for your reply. As requested attached are photos from the other end. The leading edge protection is a metal type either copper or brass.
Hi Beaufighter, lovely acquisition you have there, thanks for the photo, certainly a very rare item, was this the same one that appeared in an auction some 12 months ago! If so I too managed to acquire one of the yokes from the same collection.
The B47 cap was a nice example and sold early this morning for $200 as a buy it now. Congratulations to the purchaser a nice item.
The problems with purchasing from the US (as I’m sure many have found out) is the added charges these being – postal fees + 20% VAT + postal service handling fees. What initially may seem good value can get a little expensive!
Good to see that people are still Posting on this thread, I do feel that the Key aero forum has got a little stagnated since the uplift which is a pity really.
Bucaneer XN977 column and grip currently on eBay item 202870421670 has some nice history to this example. Did anyone read the book based on the rush to get the Buccs on Combat air patrol over Belize?
B47 centre cap for sale as a Buy it Now on eBay if anyone needs one, shouldn’t last long! Item number 352920699741
Hello Eugen, Front button is ‘Auto Pilot’ . Rear button is ‘Microphone’ This type of yoke was fitted to early Lockheed Neptune and Lockheed Constellation. Although the configuration of buttons on the switches for the Neptune was slightly different, from memory with a ‘Stores Jettison button’ and ‘Trim’ switch, Hope Help this helps.
Greetings and Welcome to the forum Eugene, It’s great to have you on board with us. For those of you who don’t know, Eugene has a very impressive collection of yokes and Sticks, mainly of Soviet Aircraft , however a few western types are creeping into his collection. A fantastic detailed restorer of such items and very knowledgeable on his Soviet stuff.I am sure he will make a great contribution to this forum. Даррелл
Here is a Video of Yeovilton aerojumble 1984 for those who wish to step back in time:
Martyn, was this purchased in the States or UK?
MOD abbreviations has FOV as ‘Field of view’. POL as ‘Petrol Oil Lubricants.’ No mention of acronym SLAVE.

Out of curiosity did anyone buy the ‘Junkers 52’ yoke wheel which was on eBay a couple of months back?
This one is quite interesting for any WW11 era stick collectors. Been on the market for quite a while now.
Great news GYD! That’s hopefully one of the benefits to this thread in helping each other out. Early bird gets the worm!
The Herc yokes are pretty hard to come by and seem reasonably priced. Pity one of them has the switch block missing.
