Most instruments are manufactured as standard fit to a wide variety of aircraft. Do you have a photo and I can give you an indication of the types of aircraft it would have been fitted too?
I’ll find out about the tail turret for you, he was certainly restoring it last autumn but I haven’t heard much about it since.
What is HS please?
Re circulated again, just in case anyone has any idea’s as to the type of aircraft this came from.
Screws
These guys have lots of aviation screw, nuts, mounts, lights, paint etc for rebuilding instrument panels and cockpits. Give them a ring and ask for a free catalogue to be sent to your home address. LAS Aerospace based in Devon Tel 01837 658 081
I attended on the Saturday, really enjoyed it speaking to people who share a similar interest, good aerojumble and good exhibit displays. All in all a excellent day out, many thanks to the organisers.
Can any one tell me who won the best cockpit/display award?
I left about 2pm and as I was making my way down the A1 (20 miles South), I saw a Dakota fly past at low level, I take it this was heading for Newark?
Cliff,
Any pictures on how your Canberra panel is coming on?

Roy,
I remember reading something about the stenciling on the ICC forum, this query has been raised before. No doubt you may have checked this?
Looking forward to seeing your completed project, do you still have the main panel you purchased from me?
Keep up the excellent work.

Rob,
The answer to your PM is I really don’t know, I have never seen a picture of a F1 cockpit, I normally find the research Dept at RAF Hendon very good. Drop them a line and they will send you some illustrations of a F1 cockpit layout. They normally charge a nominal fee for the photocopying and postage.
Any one interested in the different Meteor types and illustrations and pictures of the aircraft including numerous cockpit layouts should consider buying this book : The Gloster & AW Meteor by modellers Datafile ISBN 0-9533465-8-7 SAM Publications. It’s a very comprehensive read on all the different variants of the Meteors built.
Meteor panels.
Can you provide us with a photo? I think the F4 was similar to the F3. I have posted photographs of a number of Meteor instrument panels (including an F3) on page 8 of the thread titled “instrument panels” Hope this is of some help but if you have a picture then all the better!
Looking forward to attending this pleasurable event, those who have never been I throughly recommend to go, a great day out for all!
Hi John,
Lovely shots do you have any of a Gnat or Javelin? Thanks
Still there on the 15th May 2006, I don’t know what the long term plans are for this aircraft. Does anyone know what happend to the Comet nose which was located on the viewing gallery ?
John, Any more photo’s of British Classics? Thanks!
Great pictures John, keep them coming, would like to see some more interior cockpit shots!
