I’ll try and make it too depending on the weather, I’ll bring along my 7 year old boy who’s into Mossie’s. My favourite museum in fact, will any of the Comet’s or aircraft be opened up for inspection?

Instrument Panel Argosy
Hi I’m trying to rebuild an instrument panel for a RAF Argosy, the RAF Museum research centre at Hendon are unable to help with regards to the layout of instrumentation, has any one got any pictures or drawings of the RAF Argosy cockpit. I believe that this was a different layout to the civil version. I am aware of the 2 RAF cockpit photos on http://www.airliners.net but unfortunately the displayed aircraft seem to have most of their instruments missing. Thanks!
Well looks like this forum has come up trumps again with helping me identify this panel! I’ll look forward to restoring it back to its original layout, all the instruments seem the pretty basic post war issue etc.
NC900, Mark G, Vacb, Rockeeter and Dave T, Many thanks for all your time in this, its really appreciated!
Regards
Darrell (Fly.Buy)
Thanks for the suggestion Vacb, if you do come across the pilots notes then I would appreciate any confirmation. I am keen to restore the panel so any pictures or diagrams would be appreciated. I know I have seen this panel somwhere before either in a cockpit or in some pilots notes but can’t think where and it’s one of those things that keep niggling me!
Venom
Bruce, for some reason I am unable to post the pictures on this site as the file size appears to big. Could I possibly have your e-mail address to send them direct to you?. Ollieholmes thanks for the web link but it is the British version I am after.
Regards
Darrell
To source parts, try placing a message on the forum of the International Cockpit Club http://www.internationalcockpitclub.org.uk In addition to find out which instruments and panels you require write to the research dept at the RAF Museum at Hendon. They will forward on Canberra Cockpit diagrams to you, which hopefully will help you know which type of instruments you need.
Good Luck
Thankyou!
Moggy, Barnowl, Victor simm and Papa Lima, Thankyou very much for your time and replies. All your pictures will be most helpful in my restoration project, an excellent response, once again Many Thanks!

well done on the photo’s, some nice interior shots!
Is there a Flypast by the BBMF this year?
Thankyou all for sharing some of your experiences and advice, I am now a little wiser than I was prior to placing this thread.
If from any personal experience there are any museums to drastically avoid then please PM me. Thanks again all, a great forum!
Very frustrating sorting through car bits and pieces to get to what you want. Reminds me of Popham Aerojumble!
I am interested in Turkish aviation, where can I buy this book from? Thankyou.
Hi, I will be attending and looking forward to the event. Do the gates for the aerojumble open at 10am as well or earlier?
I also believe that some of the resident museum aircraft will be open to the public. Is there a list of what aircraft will open on what time and day or is it just on an ad-hoc basis?
Lee, nice to see the photo’s, I particularly liked the cockpit page, if you could expand this further then even better! Always good to see the Pilots office. Regards Fly.Buy
Ambassador Panel
Ray,
I have sent you a PM, Thankyou very much the pictures were very helpful!
Dear All
Just on another note I’ve enclosed a picture of another panel I’ve come across, which I hope will be my next project. Its from the Percival Aircraft Company (P.A.C pained on the rear) but does anyone know what type of aircraft its from. Don’t use the instruments as a guide as I’m sure some have been put in there to fill in the gaps. Its not a Pembroke or a Sea Prince as I have these in my collection and they are not one of the same, incidentally I have enclosed a Pembroke panel to compare against (Perhaps its a earlier variant of Pembroke???) Any help would be gratefully appreciated…..Thanks!
