Yes that’s exactly the one!
I seem to recollect that Air Britain published an excellent book, from memory its a large hardback with a picture of a Dan Air comet on the front (recent publication). Personally its the best Comet publication book I’ve seen and covers the history of every single comet made. I’ll try and dig out the ISBN number for you. I also have the May 1952 edition of the aeroplane magazine, the issue is dedicated to the first passenger flight of the comet and has a good cutaway drawing together with many details and pictures of the Comet, if interested Ill try to photocopy some pictures for you.
Buccaneer Bits anyone?[U]
I’m trying to complete a Buccaneer instrument panel, I’m approx 70% there but the bits seemed to have dried up despite spending the last few years looking through aerojumbles and ebay. By chance does any one have any of the following parts?
Instrument Crate to house the main instrument panel.
Angle of attack indicator Ref No.6A/12287.
Standby Altimeter Ref No.6A/8977 (MK27).
Main Altimeter and Rate of Climb Indictor Ref No.6TD/1042363.
ASI.Ref No…6TD/1041269
Many Thanks in anticipation of any help.
Found a nice centre console instrument panel for a Vickers Varsity which will sit nicely with my P1 and P2 instrument panels, so the trip for me was worthwhile. However I couldn’t help noticing that the aerojumble side is diminishing slighty each year. Also enjoyed looking and walking inisde the AN2.
Keith,
Okay thanks I’ll take a look and get back to you.

Just to make it clear the scruffy panel (first two pictures) is the panel I need identifying!
When is the cockpitfest this year? Also is any aerojumble or flypast organised as it was last year?
Regarding the screws, read the forum pages of this web site: http://www.internationalcockpitclub.org.uk they list a number of mail order companies who sell BA screws (suitable for instrument panels).
Sea Fury
If it’s any help enclosed is a picture of a Sea Fury Blind instrument panel.
Ah! Sorry my grammer mistake, should read Photos of the interior or exterior of the Simm. Just would be interested to see what it looked like!

Great to see some interior shots! Would be good to see more photos published on this site that include interior and cockpit shots! Thanks for sharing them.
Nice panel for the Dragon Rapide, I would be interested to know why it has two altimeters on the panel? I have come across a similar thing on my Vickers Varsity panel, the pilots left hand side panel seems to have 2 altimeters fitted, always wondered why? Is there any reason for this?
Yep go for it, there’s lots of stuff I want and there’s lots of stuff I have to trade!
