Dak plans….and kits

…The easy way, two little speed 400 electric motors, all foam, sort of scale 😮 …
…add a ping pong ball to the nose and you have a mini ‘AF!
Little friends (and adversaries) 🙂
Very nearly a proper Wellington… well it did at least have geodetic structure!
*Blatant bump*
Any more ideas gratefully recieved!
The Sea Fury was indeed musical, I hadnt realised it and the Sea Hawk were coming, so when what I assumed to be a Spitfire and Hurricane on the horizon turned out to be too big and rounded or small and pointed, I was pleasantly surprised!
A few more…
It was fantastic just to see the Hurricane in the flesh, I certainly don’t mind waiting to see it in full health!
Search for the Varsity….
Having set myself the challenge to find the Varsity, it turned out to be holidaying in a field half a mile away while the building work is being completed.
Superb news… having got addicted to the place on my first visit, at the last big open day 🙂
Skybolt, an interesting suggestion, for a particular reason very apt to the project.
Cheers 🙂
~The plot thickens~
Good stuff guys, interestingly most of the names were ones already on the list this end… any more slightly more obscure (probably the wrong word, but you’ll get what I mean)or less well known characters would be welcome, including those ‘behind the scenes’.
Cheers for letting me ‘pick your brains’ 😉
Do you mean someone who is working/flying today or do they just have to be alive today (with their achievements made in the past)?
Either would do nicely 🙂
Now that would open a whole new can of kerosene fuelled worms, whilst I realise that a Meteor NF11 never engaged in combat with an Me262, somebody would have to be there to give a bit of balance 😀
~duck~
Love the flying shots, were they taken from upstairs?
This is, of course, just the kind of thing that turns up the week before I start work there 😀 😀
Thats why Rapides like our ‘DL have sheet metal spats around their wheels, cuts down on that kind of thing…
PS, Alan, have taken note of your PM, will make plenty of enquiries and brew plenty of cunning schemes on our mysterious trip to ‘that London’ tomorrow!
Just got back from a pub quiz, probably owing the TFC chaps a beer as the answer ‘Grumman Tigercat’ won our team the ‘beer round’ (due to the generous beer-related prize I now cannot recall the precise details of the question 😮 )… should be an interesting day tomorrow!
~Which goes to show what a fantastic educational resource ‘Legends is~
Good news, I hope to make it to one of these events soon, but for now, as last year, the pictures on the forum will be something of a highlight 🙂
