The latest FlyPast has it down for a starring role in the new Divided World exhibition, I guess it will highlight less well known operations in the ‘hotter’ regions of the cold war. Nice one Cosford 🙂
You can see the film here, well worth a look…..

…but I thought the simulator ride shut down years ago, has it been moved to a different part of the site

Sorry ‘lectra, it is hiding behind the Antanov-thingy 🙂
(Is it just me that cannot see ‘lectra’s post on screen, I have to quote it and read it copied on the top of my reply  )
Sounds like the right one, all painted timbers and ‘tasteful’ extensions….
PS, Their sausage and mash is well worth a try, despite being by far and away the cheapest thing on the menu, it’s a bit good!
Hello Y11F, for a spot of lunch I can reccomend either the air museum, or if you want more of a restaurant/pub type of thing then your best bet is the Mill down the road past the Roman fort (Very nice proper food that often seems genuinely as ‘home made’ as the sign outside suggests, washed down with an Adnams if the fancy takes you… 🙂 ) You can also sit outside by the river which is all rather agreeable….
The scribbled map (with cartographical standards befitting somebody just back from the pub) shows the layout of local attractions!
I’m not sure of any significant aviation related stuff going on, unfortunatley I’m not around on Sunday (back home in Kidderminster for my Birthday) otherwise I could have arranged a quick hangar visit, the Mustang restoration company is not meeting there this weekend, although there is some Dakota painting activity next week…..
Re-calibration of outdated windsocks 😀 😀 😀
Sounds expensive!
I once got in the way of Adam Hart-Davies’ flamboyantly painted bicycle whilst walking across Tower Bridge 😉
Do any companies offer flights to the shows at LFA, they look fantasitic but the drive involved presumably puts people off travelling from the UK, but a flight…. that gets me thinking 🙂 … a gap in the market to fill?
Wow, commiting some serious aviation there, a pretty beast indeed…
If you ever happen to be passing northern Warwickshire and need fuel 😉
Four Tr.9s, good call Robbo (I had reckoned on the same theme as a good idea for ‘Legends’ a while ago), thinking forward to 2006, might there be another two seater airborne?
To me it seems to make perfect sense, the Valiant representing the V-bomber’s period as the nuclear deterrent, the Vulcan as a conventional bomber and the Victor as a tanker. The three aircraft in their respective liveries nicely telling the story of the V-bombers, cold war and beyond.
Happy Birthday 🙂
I hope somebody thought to get you a present for your train set 😀 😀
Ahem… I mentioned it once but I think I got away with it…. 🙂
Oh yes, as far as landmarks go, the flights from Baginton usually take in a quick circuit around Warwick Castle for the amusement of our customers, and presumably those lucky enough to be up the ramparts at the same time!
PS. Tom remember it is called ‘The Classic Flight Experience’ now…. 😉
