Dramatic reassembly…. excellent, count me in for next weekend 🙂
Which picture, what have I missed?
Most of which are taken at the Dakota capital of the UK, Baginton.
Whilst the fleet was in decline there is a definite ‘Dakota Renaissance’ going on, long may it continue 😎
A few more, courtesy of Dave Jackson……. 🙂
Having just looked through the thread for the first time for a while, a big thank you to Neilly for the underside photo of the ‘tse-tse’ Mosquito- it will be a big help in finishing the markings on my Dad’s flying model of ‘225.
Cheers 🙂
Happy Birthday 🙂
Incredible, I guess the introduction bit is modern ‘warbird’ footage, or am I wrong?
Thanks a lot for showing us the link Laurent 🙂
Brilliant photos everybody- I will dig a few more out when I get back to Coventry. One question about those seaplane Daks, are they true amphibians or is the retractable undercarriage just ‘beaching gear’
PS Tom, I like the ‘imposter’, did you build it?
G-AMPY a few weeks ago, before long she will have her wings and engines back in place, and get a repaint, 1950s Transport Command style… watch this space 🙂
PS Lovely photo BoxBrownie, any more on a similar theme 😉
I believe there might be some at North Weald worth looking into, all of the DC3s/C47s that were retired from the pollution control fleet(at Coventry) have found new homes or are looking forward to new flying careers here 🙂
Some Cessna and larger Douglas products creeping in here 😀
Some more… 😉
Wrongest? Surely not, those glos black Navy versons can look oddly attractive, well from some angles!
Beautiful photos guys!
Needless to say the would be a very warm welcome in the UK for this aircraft, we love B25s here but keep selling them
Wishing you all the best with operating her!
Speaking of Mosquitos, I have some interesting pictures of some flying models we keep back at home, next time I’m over there i will scan some in. 🙂
