Happy birthday Anna 😀
Interesting stuff, any more of the Firefly drone 🙂
Is this the one that was ‘rescued’ from Flambards in Helston?
Genius 😀
The cat on a turntable is obviously ‘referencing’ that episode of Father Ted with the fairground pitching up in ‘the field’ (..that’s as near as I get to going off on a cultural tangent 😀 )
Though the prize for best stuffed cat in a music video goes to ‘Frontier Psychiatrist’ by the Avalanches :p

Perry McCarthy, well known as one of the ‘Stigs’- you have to wonder if the helmet ‘disguise’ lets car manufacturers supply an experienced test driver with previous experience of the car if they want
Or is that just me with my conspiracy theories again 😀
Going back home to scenic Kidderminster for Friday night/Saturday, for my girlfriend’s official birthday (blimey- she has already had her proper one in Coventry this week 😮 ). Then back to Coventry on Sunday to play at Dakota fixing/dissasembling 😀
Interesting stuff here….
..I guess the big question is, would they consider ‘submissions’ from freelance designer types (possibly including myself, and other artistically inclined forum members 🙂 ). I imagine they would like ideas that may/may not get used to be kept secret until unveilling, if they were interested I would be happy to have a go…
What do you reckon Steve? (Is there an email address to try sending stuff to  )
I will attend a Forum meet – too many demands on my time at present to be precise though!
If anything happens reasonably local, and there’s beer involved I stand a chance of appearing.. And I will get to OW this year at least once. I figure that an OW evening display is the best way to get Mrs JC to look upon the hobby as more than a “anorak” obsession! I have considered brain washing, but I’d best not go there..

We could always work out a plan for a meet on that funny airfield on the northern fringe of Warwickshire, the one with all of the Dakotas 🙂
I wonder if the grass at Old Warden is long enough to allow ‘public transport’ flying with the Twin Pin, it is officially too short for the Rapides 🙁
Themed burger van for the back end of the Land Warfare Hall, should be ready in time for (Rapide 🙂 ) Legends…..
To be operated by….
‘The Old Frying Machine Company’….
Is that my coat 😉
I seem to remember the Whirlwind and Shack are owned by a different group to the others, all looking rather sad though 😡
Rest assured there are other DH Dove/Devons in Warwickshire (well just in Warwickshire) that are rather better cared for 🙂
I was thinking the same thing just the other day, there was a nice silver one with a bright green tail flying not too long ago- what became of it? Presumably two seaters are a more viable proposition commercially
An interesting extract from http://www.classicflight.com , which explains the reason for ‘PRS ‘s more modern ETPS livery…
Air Atlantique acquired her and re-registered her to the original G-APRS and are very proud to have what is now the only flying example in the Northern Hemisphere. She is currently painted in the colours of the Empire Test Pilots School at Boscombe Down for whom she served in her Airforce career. She continues to be used from time to time for the current test pilot courses, as it is unlikely that a candidate has experienced the unique flight characteristics of such an aeroplane.
PS She will be flying into Legends both days, although as far as bookings go I believe she is fully booked with a private party on the Saturday, see the above website for details. It would be nice if a parking spot could be found for her on the ‘public’ side, so people can get a closer look during the flightline walk. Having said that she may be busy in the day with a Baginton-Silverstone shuttle service- it seems they have decided to have a rather large race there after all!
Does it need to be specific to a Swiss Venom- just so I know what to look out for?
PS. As you can see Primrose is sulking as nobody here has done the gentlemanly thing and asked if she will be at legends 😉
A nice image from the AACF archives, of her previous incarnation…
