Noratlas? It just has that look about it, but I’m not sure whether they ever got to the southern hemisphere…
OOps, forgot to paste the website credit in…

More along the same lines to be found here (though it presumably helps to have the japanese alphabet loaded on your computer) 🙂
How about the ‘Beardmore inflexible’ (I think this aircraft ‘survives’ in the form of a single (massive 😮 ) wheel at the Midland Air Museum!
Nice
Are there really people trying to get in to the Warbird scene in one of these?
I’m afraid not, as far as I know there are none left, unless somebody has one well hidden somewhere. I have got to say I quite like them 😮 , I am very tepted to make a radio controlled model of one, I have downloaded the plans and it may be the next project (that will be the one after learning to fly properly  ), it has a lovely simple shape to build and loads of wing area 🙂
Oddly enough I was about to post on the Sturgeon thread asking if you had seen one of these beasts before 😀
Very nice, I can see another ‘to polish or not to polish debate’ 😀 , personally I rather like the matt, menacing Mitchell and the patchwork Fury (which one is it, any ideas?), can’t wait to see a few more 🙂
And I love the way the pilot of the Dragon wears a suit and tie, very authenthic – just like they did in the 1930’s. 🙂
If you like that you would love the ‘uniforms’ the Air Atlantique Dragon Rapide pilots are being issued with for the Goodwood Revival meeting 😀
Was this the one with ‘Walzing Matilda’ nose art, the story rings a bell….
The definition of a chiz is apparently ‘a swiz or a swindle’ though I’m not sure any actual dictionary would back that up, in forum speak the word chiz is roughly equivalent to :p
😀 😀 😀 :p
I believe the Mossie T.III being referred to is still in Britain, pending restoration, but will eventually end up in the Western USA.
Interesting, does this mean a restoration to flying condition in the UK, then export (hopefully with flight testing and a couple of public appearances here first..). I may be jumping the gun a bit with this question but bear in mind it comes from a ‘never seen a mosquito fly before’ kind of viewpoint
Good evening (I think 🙂 ) Shane, welcome to the forum. Good luck with the project, it is fantastic to see real progress developing, keep us all posted! Will the Walrus be operated as a land plane only or do you plan to get it wet now and then? Brilliant to hear about the project and yet another reason for me to visit NZ!
will G-RAID fit?
The Avenger seems to have no problem, but I’d guess the Skyraider is heavier or at least has a higher wing loading  , it would be very impressive to see on the grass, but just flying would do nicely 😀
As far as Harriers go, they are not right for the usual old warden display, but do fit nicely into the military airshow once a year, it is not often that the public get to see one in its element operating from a small grass strip so for that it seems well worth it 🙂
Lovely one of the Dove 😀 , saw this one parked next to AACF’s Dove (nearly a Devon, just waiting for the roundels 😀 ), just last week in the hangar. (can two doves be referred to as a breeding pair, lets hope so 😀 😀 )
Good morning Anna 😎 😀 😀
Hi jet man, not sure where you live but if you are anywhere near the Midland Air Museum, Baginton, Coventry, UK they have stacks of them for 25p each (sorry if this is no cheaper than ebay or you live on the fars side of the globe etc..)
