Great sequence of shots! If anything, I’d say the difficult lighting conditions add to the photos. Great stuff.
Adam
Hi all,
Many thanks for your feedback and comments, it’s all very helpful. I’ll see how things go and hope to post some more soon…
lukeylad – Doesn’t sound like me, certainly didn’t have a step ladder!
Thanks again,
Adam
Here she is arriving yesterday afternoon –

Adam
Hi Chris,
It was a Libyan Air Cargo aircraft, 5A-DKL, on the ground apparently in connection with the World Scout Jamboree in Essex this year (hence the visits of Saudi and Algerian aircraft in recent days, also). 5A-DKL popped in yesterday, also.
I have a photo of her arrival but no time to get it off the camera yet. Shall post it tomorrow.
Adam
Not sure why she may be at LGW today, but she’s certainly been in out of Stansted over the last few weeks standing in for MAXjet.
Adam
Hi all, thank you for the feedback.
James – that particular FedEx MD-11 was inbound from CDG, although STN also receives daily flights from EWR and MEM.
Adam
Great post and photos Dan… you sure get about!
How many FR aircraft are you yet to fly on?
Adam
A lovely set of shots, despite the weather! Great work – sometimes you can’t beat a good set of side-profile shots.
Adam
Hi all, many thanks for your feedback.
Alex – I’m afraid I’m away this weekend, but have a good trip anyway.
Adam
Sorry – this is obviously in the wrong forum!
Adam
Dan – ah OK, the angle looks very similar!
* Fantastic
* Superb
* Amazing
* Stunning😀
Thank you!
Adam
Hi all, thanks for the feedback.
Excellent work mate, shame I didn’t know you were around! Coulda met up otherwise. Was quite an impressive evening in terms of movements, shame that the Germanwings loogjets stayed away though. The UPS is still just in the Sun for your shot cos it was up high….from where I was standing it was about a minute too late!
Yes, I was hoping for a couple of GWI and NAX logojets myself, nevermind (the Dubrovnik MD-83 on the NAX service was good enough!).
Dan and PMN, hope the weather improves for you next week – the forecast isn’t looking too great!
I’d heard that “the trees” location next to the training school/fire dump is open again, good to see some shots from there Dan. Although aren’t you limited to shooting through the fence?
Adam
Excellent shots Kevin – must have been quite a sight! I’ve only been to PIK the once, but was lucky enough to catch the An-22 there (July 2003 if I remember correctly).
Adam
Hi all – many thanks for your comments and feedback, much appreciated.
Also, Manchester doesn’t have a 23L. It’s 24L. 😉
MAN actually re-designated its runways from 24s to 23s on the 7th June 🙂

Cheers,
Adam
Hi James,
A great first selection! Nice to see some more from Newcastle. You’ve got some nice angles and compositions in there. My favourite is the Eastern Saab 2000 with the sharp lighting and shadows. A tighter crop and it would work a trick.
Anyone else notice something missing from the wingtip of the Onur A321?
